Liza Minnelli performed a medley for her mother on their concert at the London Palladium in 1964. This performance was from the second night, and that's why it's not included in the DVD. I find the second night recordings much more enjoyable than the DVD they put together with performances from the first concert. Judy and Liza seemed more relaxed and Judy was as funny as she could be.
Liza sings: Take Me Along, If I Could Be With You, Tea For Two, Who, They Can't Take That Away From Me, By Myself, Take Me Along and Mammy.
You can also hear Judy's reactions in the background during the whole performance, and her contagious laughter, which makes it even more fun to listen to.
I made a little video with pictures of mother and daughter to go along with the song. I used my favorite picture of Judy, Liza and Vincente at the end. I hope you enjoy.
I don't own anything.

This adoring tribute tells us so much about Judy the mother ,amidst all trials and tribulations of studio given addictions and exploited by those she trusted ,Judy still instilled a love for her in all her children and a lasting loyalty ,unlike many starkids ,who grew up in luxury and privilege due to their parents and yet always resented their parents and spoke ill about them ,a case in point being lucille ball's children ,who never had a kind ,loving word for their mother ,who first propped up their penniless father's career and later took a risk by launching the children in her show They gladly shone in her light when asked to be part of tributes to her ,but in interviews they always crib about not getting enough attention from her during their childhood Amongst all her peers lucy was alone in working hard ,keeping up an impeccable public persona and living a life of luxury to the very end ,while joan Crawford, Tallulah Bankhead, Marylene monroe ,liz Taylor and judy battled alcholism and died in woeful circumstances As good a mother as judy must've been ,her children deserve no less praise for holding her in such high esteem ,not being judgemental about her and bring so openly affectionate about her ,tho' they didn't get any worldly riches from her ,unlike the belligerent Arnaz siblings

To have such a pedigree. Liza is shear brilliance! Judy is shear perfection! Not to mention the genius of her father, Vincent Minnelli. No wonder she has won the EGOT!

Judy's laugh is one of my favourite things - especially when she loses it and gets a full on cackle like the swannee outtakes.

@@abriellehorvath3195 How Liza held it together here I don't know I would have been a wreck! Her laugh ruins me! the chipmunk squeal is the best! I also adore that she doesn't have a polite, reserved chuckle - she has whole-body laughter, flailing around all over the place.

NFitalianGuy I just wanted to say I saw Liza on 02-04-2010.I was so happy to see she was well.I know I was in a room with someone who was in a room with Judy Garland!! Liza in her own right is a Great singer but seemed to have a cold coming on.That was fine I had a blast watching her at 66 years old doing her thing!! She sang a song of her Mom's from Carnegie Hall and I cried like a baby. All in all I felt what I went there for JOY...Thanks Liza and thanks Judy.......Love Barb...

@CatyDavis Judy Never beat her kids! What a hell of a comment! Another negative rumor about Judy Garland. This Woman deserves the utmost repsect. We don't have any singers like Judy Garland anymore. Judy's voice was always under control and so much smoother than Liza and Lorna even at their Peak vocally!

@Aidann123 Its amazing how even strangers perpetuate these rumors and continually down grade Judy even 41+yrs after her death. I wish ppl would focus on her immense talent instead of her private life which wasn't anyone's business. Judy was a person with frailtiesand flaws but she never beat her kids. Judy's new fans that werent even born when TV didnt have cable or cell phones have to read all the neg comments that diminish Garland's Great talent. Lets face it, Judy never hurt her fans.

Diminish her talent. Nothing can do that, 50 years after her death she is still considered the Worlds greatest entertainer. Because, she still is. And when her demons weren't around, she was.a marvelous person

It’s interesting that Liza refers to her mother as a “friend” for 18 years, considering she was 23 when Judy died. I’m thinking it’s because around age 5, Judy started treating her like a friend - an adult one. I recall hearing Judy refer to Liza as a young lady when she was only 7. She referred to Lorna and Joe as friends, also, and was calling Joe a man at age 8. Considering her mother never treated her like a child and she grew up in the studio system around other movie kids who were treated - and acted - like short adults, it would make sense that she had a skewed view of children.
