She looks so much like her dad but there are definitely flashes of her mother. I can’t put my finger on what features she has that are her mom’s because her dad’s features are kind of overpowering but Judy’s are there.

@@AChampagneGlass Maybe Blue Moon is thinking of MGM Studios' association with Disney when they first opened their theme park at Disney World? I was there while they were still building it and it still had the "old Hollywood" theme; I was disappointed when it changed (but I'll probably never get back there again anyway). The best attraction at the time that's still there was the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. They had a lot of original memorabilia on display there. In fact, watching "The Wizard of Oz" last night, it brought back a memory of how thrilled I to see one of the three pairs of the original Ruby Slippers on display there! . The Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorite movies--possibly my favorite movie of all time; I've watched it again and again (in addition to the first twenty-odd times I saw it growing up before cable TV when it used to be aired once a year in March and was a big family event) and STILL never get tired of it. Although watching it this time, even though my mother (who grew up during that "Golden Age" of classic Hollywood, wrote fan letters, and had what would surely be a valuable autograph collection today from all her favorite stars of the day ... if only my grandmother hadn't thrown it out one day while on a cleaning spree, along with my uncle's classic comic-book collection that included the first issue of the original Superman ... which is how valuable collectors' items--and hoarders--are created!) had already told me the sad story of Judy Garland's life and early death a long time ago, having just seen the movie "Judy" about a month ago and just how tragic her life was starting as far back as the making of the film (posing for a picture of her birthday cake on the set that she wasn't allowed to eat, for example, and my being able to relate to her insomnia and exhaustion, and much more I've seen in documentaries about her since then) did kind of take some of the joy out of seeing her as sweet, innocent Dorothy. :'( Yet I can't imagine anyone but Judy Garland in the role (OR Buddy Ebsen as the sensitive Tin Man, who was always my favorite character from when I was a kid; Jack Haley had the gentlest, most comforting voice and must've been a good guy/father to have Liza Minelli still think fondly of his son/her ex-husband). There's nothing from the resulting film that could ever be improved on for me. (OK, well, the owls and vultures in the haunted forest weren't the most realistic. Also, they cut out the scene where I think they were supposed to be attacked by bees, which I don't think was really necessary except that the Wicked Witch references her plan while giving instructions to Nikko as the flying monkeys are taking off.) So it's heartbreaking to know the toll that bringing such joy to so many people on screen took on Judy Garland's real life. . Anyway, here's the story of Disney parks' relationship with MGM Studios: www.history.com/this-day-in-history/disney-mgm-studios-becomes-disneys-hollywood-studios

Judy was not just a star; she was a Universe of talent. In 8 bars she could bring you to tears. Very few entertainers can grab your heart out of your chest for two hours then gently place it back into your chest. She was art, magic and technique rolled into one body. Other artists of that day were glamorous, technically brilliant but they held back. None had that depth of emotion and earthiness on display in film and in live performances. She put it all out there. And those who were blessed to see her live or while filming all knew they were looking at a phenom.

Liza is great at handling attention in public. I used to live across the street from the Broadway theater where she played in a musical called The Rink. We would often watch as she left the theater each night - greeting a healthy throng of people waiting at the stage door. Sometime we could yell "We love you Liza!" from the apartment, and several times she came to the edge of the sidewalk and had a little conversation with us, across 45th street. She is so tremendously sweet and gracious. Will never forget her playing Carnegie Hall shortly after this and how she completely brought down the house.

I have been an avid fan of both ladies for decades, many decades ,and the whole world can wittiness their brilliance over and over just by viewing their remarkable film and video accomplishments .But it’s difficult to describe the powerful force of nature that exploded on stage each time either one of them performed in concert .It was like a religious revival on steroids. The roar from the audience as soon as Judy/Liza stepped on stage was unbelievable regardless of who’s concert you were part of,and you were part of the performance she would make sure of that ,then that little person on stage would command you through her performance to sing with her , laugh with her,and yes ,cry with her while applauding and cheering her along. When she was done with you and you and she were both exhausted, you sill wanted more, and sometimes she gave you more .The result was that each experience was unforgettable and even life changing. It was pretty much the same if it was Judy or Liza .The Show may have been different but the result was the same. We may never see the likes of them again

I have to say that I had the opportunity to see "Guys and Dolls" at the Pantages Theartre in Los Angeles circa 1993/94? Lorna Luft was "Adeline" in the show. Ms. Luft was amazing, outstanding, and shined like a beautiful comet ablazoned upon a stage! Her presence did nothing short than radiate star quality, and she outshinned everyone in the show with her natural ability. Trust me this is def. Judy Garland's daughter, upon hearing her sing and it's very apparent, the apple does not fall far from the tree- tallently speaking. Vocally Lorna was a powerhouse! Please remember this is an interview made for television and I would suspect it can be a little daunting, and nerve wracking talking about your private life very openly and candily. Liza has such a presence and really is like a moving, breathing, art installation of life in flux. I think Liza much like Judy lives for the applause, so to speak. Lorna is more private and hasn't lived her life in front of a lens as much as Liza and Judy did, so that's the difference I see. I was very pleasantly suprised to see Lorna Luft was such a force to be reckoned with. She is trully talented, if you have the opportunity to see her perform do so.

But 1 gets mixed up because her mannerisms, voice are SO her mother--she's a split of her parents for sure. Lorna is all her father--u'd never know she was Judy's dau.--no resemblence. What about Joey?-probably Dad too--he's never commentated like his outspoken sisters. Judy would be proud of all 3 --how they turned out.

Well Liza did have some addiction problems years ago which thank god she got past. They have undoubtedly left some effects but she is absolutely fabulous and I'm glad she was able to get past her vices, I think that if in the 60s we could have had the help we have now her mother would still be with us.8
