Honestly as soon as James asked Ellis that question, I knew why he was doing it and honestly I love how much they bring him up. School is hard, but they don't teach video/photo editing which we all obviously know Ellis is a pro at.

But fair enough, if Ellis has the $10k plugins just for adding the correct varied grain size and shape based on exposure etc, not to mention the other things needed to get even close to digitally recreating accurate film look, good for him.. but I still call cap. Some are unaware of the real nuances in these things and assume cheap emulations to be good enough. There is also a way you would light to shoot on film that people are not doing when working digitally, so you will see shots that just wouldn't be lit that away, again undoing the illusion of it being film to anyone who knows the actual difference. I could continue to list things, which again, support my previous statement. Sorry but I call cap. Edit: and haven't even gotten onto the topic of lenses yet.

That was the sweetest effin display of friendship I have seen in a while. My general knowledge is atrocious, I would fail this quiz every time. So I know it must be hard for Ellis each week and he's still participating like an absolute champ. But James making sure everyone knows Ellis isn't a dumb dumb and that his intelligence shines in other places........that is top tier friendship.

I feel like Ellis, like a lot of us, probably can’t recover properly because anxiety puts you into survival mode all the time which makes restful rest next to impossible. I track my sleep and can never get above 30 mins of deep sleep. Getting out of survival mode is hard but might be a good start for proper recovery. Just food for thought!
