I decided to film a juicy jabber style video and update you on all things wedding. I would love if you have any recommendations or opinions on where I should get wedding shoes, after party dress, if we should do a sweetheart table or head table, and what teeth whitener I can use for SUPER sensitive teeth.

Definitely go with the bridal party table!! I’ve had friends who’ve done the separate table from everyone else and they said the amount of people who would come up was a little overwhelming. I decided on the bridal party table and it was really nice to have your best friends with surrounding us. It felt really special to share a moment like that with the people closest!!

My friend swore by coconut oil pulling for teeth whitening, that’s what she did for her wedding! Maybe it can help :) but your teeth look very white already 😊

For teeth whitening (which you don't even need btw, your teeth are great!), the charcoal and the blue light stuff and whatever else is out there does. not. work. You need hydrogen peroxide. Unfortunately this is also what will make your teeth hurt. I recommend doing it under the guide of a dentist as you don't want to harm your teeth in the long run. Go for as low of a percentage of HP as possible and it will hurt less or not at all if you're lucky. It takes longer but is more comfortable for you. I only do 10% HP and use a tooth paste with a high level of fluoride, which helps A LOT.

Hmmm, maybe for some the charcoal does work. I’ve been using that for years and have had several ppl ask me how I get my teeth so white. Strangers even. I’m pretty sure it’s the charcoal because growing up I had very yellow teeth and that’s the only thing I changed .

Hey Blair! Long time viewer here, love that you're posting again :) I'm a dentist. You could try using Sensodyne toothpaste for at least 2 weeks before whitening strips. Definitely avoid charcoal toothpaste--it is just an abrasive that removes enamel and temporarily whitens by doing so, but when you remove enamel overtime your teeth will become more sensitive.

I know! This has been so much fun! We started planning the wedding with only a few months to plan, so I don't even want to know how much trouble I could have gotten myself into if I had a whole year to plan!

I got my bridal jewellery from Linjer and I was very pleased. The quality was great and they have a good variety of very affordable pieces and more fine jewellery style. We did a sweetheart table, people kept saying that their advise was to find time together and to make sure you eat and we thought that was the best way to do both. It was lovely to watch out over all of our guests and I didn’t find that many people did come up to us. I did my own make up and hair. Ummed and arred about it for ages but I like how I do my own and I wanted something very me and simple for both. It was actually lovely to have that time in the morning where I was focussing on that, found it very calming! Loved this video!

My daughter had a sweetheart table. They really only sat there for photos and the meal. Everyone was eating at the same time so they weren’t bothered very much. After dinner they got up and didn’t sit back down. Congrats, I’m so happy for you! 🤍💐

We did a sweetheart table and honestly it was so nice to have our meal just the two of us. It also gave us a chance to catch up on all of the events of the day without having to unload it all later that night/ the next day! ❤

Best wishes with your planning! I actually got my shoes at DSW! Our sweetheart table was blocked a little by the family tables. I think it worked. If you do a head table I would recommend making it pretty big and having their dates with them as well. I work weddings a lot and have seen the head table in the middle of the room with flowers over the table (the dance floor was on the side of the room). It was beautiful.

Love this. I did a sweetheart table because it was nice to have a moment to take a break on my voice and entertaining. You are going to get people coming up to you no matter what, but its nice just to have a few moments soaking it in with your significant other while being surrounded by your friends in the room, but just on your own little "island" lol.

My husband has been in weddings with a head table where I don’t know many, if any, other guests. So I felt a little lonely during dinner. So that’s something to consider, but as with every decision-it’s your wedding and so whatever feels best for you should be what you choose!

Our sweetheart table was such a beautiful breath of fresh air from the craziness of the big day! I loved getting to look out and see everyone, while also getting a quiet moment with my new hubby. But like you said I’m sure you can’t go wrong!

My husband and I did a sweetheart table and we loved it!!!Yes, everyone came up to us to talk but to have a moment or two where it was just us was so worth it. I’ve been in weddings where there was a head table and people still came up to the bride and groom lol Also highly recommend booking the makeup artist! It’s really nice to be pampered on your big day 💕

We did a sweetheart table and I wouldn’t have changed it! I loved being able to enjoy some quiet moments with my husband! I also liked the idea of my bridal party getting to sit with their partners or family as well so we just had the tables closest to us for or bridal party and family!

Wedding shoes: I chose really beautiful but maybe not the most confortable wedding shoes with a bow at the front that was covered in rhinestones but this bow kept catching my dress with every step and the stiletto heel got stuck in the grass where we had our photos taken and I kept sinking! Haha I Highly recommend simple shoes that you can wear all night or take comfortable dancing shoes that you can change into after the photos but before the dancing.

So excited for you! For jewelry, i wore a matching necklace/earing/bracelet set from Zales. White gold the pieces were about 500‐800 on sale think in garnet, as my wedding colors were deep red and red. Maybe go with a stone that matches your colors!

I love the hismile purple toothpaste! You brush for 30 seconds after normal brushing once a day and I totally notice a difference!

Badgley Mischka is a great shoe brand!! I had a light blue low chunk heel on my wedding day, and they were incredibly comfortable. No pain or blisters whatsoever, and they were stunning! We did a sweetheart table and it was absolutely worth it. It's such a chaotic day, and it was lovely to have that small chunk of time to enjoy together. For teeth whitening, a local dentist can do a sensitive-friendly treatment. Mine offered it and had great testimonials!

I find it so interesting, not in a judgemental way or anything, that you mention certain things being out of your budget whilst also having a lot of custom things, and extra things that I've never seen before, plus a wedding planner. I don't know if it's a culture thing, I'm from the UK, or a class/income difference, but we don't really have cocktail hours, it's normally pictures between the ceremony and the meal, and whatever you like between the meal and the reception. Just interesting from my perspective as someone who had the cheapest wedding possible (£600 and most of that was the legal stuff) what you prioritize

Sweetheart table all the way. I had that at my wedding and I’m glad we did, it gave us time alone to laugh and talk about the day up to that point. We only ever sat down for the dinner, and spent the most of the night dancing. We never thought twice about the table. Our bridal party was happy to be seated with their significant others or friends as well.

Before I got married, my dentist did a free polishing on our teeth for the occasion! You should see if your dentist offers that. Also about the head table - we did a head bridal party table and loved it! I had all my girls and my hubby by my side. You're busy listening to speeches and whatnot anyway. We took lots of time for just the 2 of us when people were dancing and later into the night too as things were winding down. We stepped outside just the 2 of us!

Crest has a 2 step toothpaste + whitening system that I really love!! My teeth are also very sensitive from using a lot of whitening strips when I was younger. I notice a huge difference when I use it and have never been sensitive using it! Hope this helps. I adore you and am happy to have this content from you! Those invites are so cuuute! I use one whitening strip every few days or so, depending on how my teeth feel after. I found it makes a big difference to let them recover in between treatments

We had a smaller head table with us and our matron of honor /best man and had the rest of the wedding party at nearby tables so they could have their significant others sit with them. It worked out perfectly! We also got our food first and I think that really helped prevent guests from coming up to talk to us. Worked perfectly for our wedding. So excited for you and Grant! ❤

I got my wedding heels on sale from DSW (Nina brand) and then got a pair of white Allbirds to change into afterwards and it was honestly the best decision I made. My feet weren’t sore at all and you couldn’t even tell I was wearing tennis shoes. My husband and I were at first dead set on having a head table but in the end we did sweetheart because we wanted our wedding party to be able to sit with the guests they brought. Like other commenters have said it did end up being really nice to have a few “quieter” moments alone while we ate and we could look out at our families and friends. We still had plenty of time to hang out with everyone during the reception. Also I highly highly recommend getting a Photo Booth. It’s a great way to get fun and casual photos of everyone. Our guests had a blast

These invitations are stunning! I cannot wait to see the rest of the details. I got married about 10 years ago, so I do not have any current recommendations for most things, but in terms of jewelry, perhaps you can borrow things from your family/friends. I wore my mom's diamond earrings and a necklace of my Nana's that she had made from her and my grandfather's original wedding set. Both were very sentimental to me and made the day even more special.

We did head but not with the whole bridal party, we did our parents and siblings and I truly recommend it. It was so special. We knew we didn’t want a sweetheart table but also wanted our bridal party to be able to sit with our other friends so we thought of this and it was so fun and special. ❤❤

Also - I recommend the Lacer Blanc pen for teeth whitening, it's a pen and it's gradual, so your teeth can 'get used to' the process! It's definitely quite a mild whitener, but pretty perfect for a gradual whitening ✨ xx

Blair! On the teeth whitening front, my gal pal has similarly highly sensitive teeth and for her wedding prep she did hydrogen peroxide and baking soda paste! Mixing a little hydrogen peroxide with baking soda to make a paste and brushing as you normally would, every other day over the course of a week (mildly) make her smile glow!!

We did a sweetheart table and I 100% recommend it. We were actually able to talk about the day and absorb everything that had happened so far and most people didn’t come up to us, especially when the food was served so I think it’s worth it just to have a little quiet time with your new husband before the party starts.

A bit different from the usual in the US, from what I hear, but we sat with our parents and siblings. The only thing you should be aware of is that sometimes mail sorting machines don’t love wax seals because it makes it thicker than typical mail. I would take your invite to your post office and have them check it. I would hate for them to get returned! They’re beautiful though! Also, I got all of my wedding hair accessories and stuff from Amazon and I still get compliments on them in pictures 4 years later. My jewelry was my something borrowed from my mom. She has this beautiful set of pink pearls and she wore the necklace and I wore the bracelet. It would be really sweet to wear your mom’s wedding jewelry if she still has it. That would’ve been so cool.

As a fellow fall 2024 bride I feel all of this!! Your invites are absolutely stunning!! We’re doing a head table! I loved the idea of being able to design a super grand head table that could really be a showstopper for the reception space. I also liked the thought of having my bridal party with me. I got my bridal shoes from Bella Belle. They were in the $400 range. Not cheap, but not Jimmy Choo pricing either! They have a lot of amazing block heel options, and they are insanely comfortable! My mom has been in the dental industry for 20 years. Swish with Hydrogen Peroxide for like 10-20 mins a few times a week. It’s a teeth whitening gem!

For teeth whitening, my toothpaste is the sensodyn with extra whitening and I use the Crest Pro-health mouth wash with extra whitening once a day. If you use it consistently you should see pretty good results! I’ve gotten a lot of comments on how white my teeth are. Hope this helps! Congrats to you and your fiance.
