Thank you for answering. I was literally so frustrated and wanted to give up and the fact you answered my question ..im literally packing out my stuff and practicing while i listen to this vid. Please do a part 2 and 3 lol make this like every other month or once a month you do a q & a. You can doba series that focuses on doing a specifc design too. Like one cid is how to do clouds.. another vid is how to do rhinestone placement etc. Love your vids and thanks for helping. Sorry these are suggestions not bossing you around or anything.

I have a couple of "friends" that took advantage of me. One was supposed to be my best friend. I felt bad for her because she was going through a REALLY hard time, and I was there day & night for her, and she praised my nails. I made her (and her daughter) over $100 worth of nails. I even paid for the shipping. She never even put them on (still hasn't), but she posts pictures of her fresh acrylics ALL the time. She's willing to pay $50 for acrylics that look sloppy at best, but she can't support the person that was supposed to be her best friend. The other person, she actually wore hers. I sent her a few pairs for free, I covered the shipping and everything, but she had the nerve to nitpick each set, then got me all excited about this big order out of taxes, then ghosted me. Hasn't said a word about nails since then. Even some of my own family have tried to guilt me into free nails. I have one friend that I do free nails for, but that's because she promotes my work all over Facebook and if someone asks her about her nails. I stopped giving in and people stopped supporting me. If they can't support you without getting free nails, then they don't truly support you or your business/dreams. It hurts when the people that are supposed to love and support you, are the ones who want to use you the most. I actually met my biggest customer through a friend, and she GENUINELY supports me and promotes my work. She spends between $150-$200 for EVERY order, and she has become a good friend even though she lives in Texas and I live in Ohio. But the first time that someone complimented my press ons, that was amazing. I was at the pharmacy getting my medicine and the pharmacy tech was like "omg, I love your nails!", and she couldn't believe that they were press ons. They were a simple nude matte short ballerina set with some crystals. She went and followed me on ig immediately. It felt so good. And never apologize for talking as much as you like. We love to hear you talk, and we love to hear your story and/or your explanations of whatever you're talking about. ❤

Yes, yes, yes! The first time I had to pay $90 for my ombre nails, I started doing my own nails. This was back in 2017. I learned off of KZfaq and have a room PACKED FULL of nail supplies. I don’t do nails on others because I’m not licensed, but I am thinking about it. I still work like 50 hours a week, so it’s not possible now, but I wish I could so badly! I just can’t leave my full-time job because I need to survive and eat.😂 I’m 47 so it would be awesome to retire early and do nails. People think I’m crazy for wanting to leave my career for nails, but I do!!! 😁💅

I'm only 5 minutes in, and I can already relate to ur journey lol. I've been doing my own nails since I was about 13, so almost 30 years 😳😂. Shutdown encouraged me to start doing them consistently and I realized that I really LOVE doing nails so I enrolled in school (graduate this Sept). It wasn't until super recently that I shamelessly started to self-promote when ppl tell me they love my nails

I’d like a part 2! I did have a question tho! I’ve been struggling with gel application in terms of color like gel paints specifically. I can’t seem to find a way for them to stick on the nail & cure properly. I feel like I’ve tried both the nail with a gel layer & buffed & I’m not sure why neither really work?? Anyone else have this issue?

No lol your awesome and some have natural talent. I’ve been doing acrylics for like 5 years on myself (I’m self taught) and still struggle making acrylic pretty, smooth and perfect. But Polish I’m way better. It’s a whole different chemistry with acrylic and not the same. Some people are just naturals and better at acrylics. Bur practicing Polish is a great idea and probably good to practice. Just didn’t work for me lol 💖

Like people always take advantage of the fact that I know I do nails and because I'm really nice so they're always asking me to meet him set for the bed of mine are the end of the day they going to pay me I have this friend I guess that when she asked me to the mail she said she's going to pay me but after and make it for her and give it to her she changes her story about how she going to be me because we're friends and and so on and so forth. Things like that guy really discouraged me not that I am not a nice person yes I will give you a 1 or 2 set for free but soon always try to use me so things are got discouraged me and meet me at 1 to stop doing the nails overall I stopped no because I'm busy a lot that I'm not sure if I'm going to do it again. Sorry if this sound a little bit confusing

Okay, first of all - stop putting yourself down!! Stop it!! Wither your work is good or not, it takes a lot to put it out there for the world to see. That's courage most people don't have. 2nd, your work is good - you not as bad as you once were, and your not as great as you will be. But you should be proud of where you are today. So stop putting yourself down, and stop apologizing, there is nothing to be sorry for. As for your chatty talking - for 1, your not. Kind of hard to watch a Q&A video with no words. How do you answer a question with out words. You were asked a question, so stop apologizing for answering the questions... There are tons of tech out there who will not tell their products, how to, where from, why - nothing. They think your the competition and you'll steal their business, ideas, customers etc. Plus there scared you'll be better than them. I do kind of understand, their point of view - but in the same breath, there is more than enough customers for all. And by sharing we all learn more, teachers can learn from students.. plus I do believe in good karma, whats goes around... and paying it forward. Glad to see you do to... It will come back to you 10 fold. Yes please make a part 2, 3, 4 etc. Actually I think you could do it as a monthly service. And 45 min isn't long, when you said the time, I was like really - barley felt like 30 min and I could have, would have listened for another 45 min. I am a professional nail tech with many years under my belt, but have never done a press on in my life. To me, those are the thing you bought when you were 14 and you wanted nails sooo bad. So you bought a pair from the drug store - and your lucky if they lasted the day... lol usually they were poppin off in an hour.. lol So personally, I am just fascinated about this business of yours, more so cause its successful. I loved this video! I was scrolling thru my Subscribers page to see if I’d missed any videos posted that hadn’t come up on my homepage, and this one was there after a bunch of shorts. I was watching the shorts again 😂 because realized I had already watched them. Then this one was there, btw I love to talk too, some of my comments are probably very long, I wonder if you get to them actually. 🧐🤨🥸 so, I had remembered or thought I had remembered you saying something about doing a Q&A so I clicked on it and was like…how did I miss her post about doing one? Or did she asked in a video? So I looked at the date, how long ago the video was uploaded, all that and it’s been a year!! A whole year!!? Omg I really couldn’t believe it. How could this one show up on my subscribers page? Then it got me to thinking, I had watched one of your videos just before this one because of the thumbnail, I loved the nails so tapped on it, now I hope it was a new video because like half way thru you did a surprise give away. Now if that one is a freaking year old what a dope I’m going to look like..lmao! Ok, so anyhoo….like I said, i loved this video! Thank you so much for doing this!
