My great grandfather had a bestfriend who is a kapre. My mother said when my great grandparents were still young back to their country side. My great grandfather become friends with a kapre. They also like to hang out each other and sometimes the kapre gives blessings to my great grandfather. But when my great grandparents left to another place which is the home that I live today, the kapre doesn't want to be separated by his human bestfriend. But you know when my great grandfather settle their place here, he was shocked to see his kapre friend follows him and tells him that he walked through the sea just to be with him. The kapre even grow a small tree into a huge tree to become its new home. My great grandmother got surprised when she knows what her husband hiding from her... But when my great grandfather pass away, the kapre also died along with the tree. It still shocking though to his grandchildren when we notice that there is a big tree looks dead at first but its slowly gain it life like any normal trees.

When I was young, a playmate decided to climb over a mound. His legs were swollen few days later. I really don't believe in these things now and I think that insects probably bit him while he's at it, but that instance really stuck to me. I was there when he was climbing the mound and saw how bad his legs looked.

I already saw and experienced manananggal : my mother is pregnant and im still 7 years old back then manananggal is active almost in every province that's why my grandpa always have an itak (axes) below their pillows so that when the manananggal stick her tongue they can cut it i saw it with my own eyes the tongue of the manananggal my grandpa cut it and when it's already cut the manananggal goes away while the cut piece of her tongue is still moving that tongue is in a jar that we keep it hidden It's actually not scary if your roof doesnt. Have any holes or anything 😊

I have an explanation about santilmo It's a spirit of a person who just died and doesn't want to go and leave the world They sometimes appear in their favorite place or where they work (My teacher once told me about his fellow teacher who died) she said there's a light inside the person's classroom and like pushing things like a storm. In that morning a student reported to her that the person's classroom has been destroyed (IDK if it right but yeah that's what I heard) Also sry for bad grammar hehe😆

When i was a little i heard a lot of stories about Philippines Mythical Creatures and some of these stories are came from our ancestors. Believe me or not i experienced and i saw some of those creatures such as aswang. It transformed from different animals such as pig, cat, dog, etc. And one of the famous story about aswang Maria Labo and more guyses. Iknow some of Filipino's didn't believe about this because they live in a new generation where they're not exposed to hear about those stories not like us. Respect this comment I just sharing my experienced when i was a little and I'll never to forget that time.

Most of the time when I was a child me and my parents always visit our granpa and grandma when it's the holidays... Sometimes I kind of watch movies with my granpa and cousin but after that movie ends I get shivers and get the feeling someone or something was outside... But now that I'm older I can say that it was just my imagination.

I'm not sure if this was just my aunts and uncles messing with me, but has anyone also had that warning that " if you whistle at night, a headless priest will show itself to you"? When I was young, blackouts (or brownout kase yun na talaga yung tawag eh) was common in our town, especially during the night. I remember trying to learn how to whistle at night, then my aunt went up to me and told me "sige pag sumipol ka pa, may pugot-ulo (beheaded) na magpapakita sayo". Years later, and I mean to this day, I never whistle at night :| Also, I was told by a "mang-tatawas" if you want to see a duwende (we have one in our house acting as a guardian and its a known fact in our town. he's benevolent/good, or a puting duwende), throw a "jolen" (cat-eye/see-through marble) out the doorway and look through it. You just might see it...
