I had the pleasure of taking cooking lessons from Jacques and getting a rare autograph from Julie on the "Art of French Cooking". Together they were so sweet. I miss Julia a lot and I feel so bad for Jacques, he lost his beloved wife last year. If you serious about cooking these are the two you should follow.

It's so important to see that these 2 top-class cooks dont agree on every detail. Because: tastes differ, to a degree. A recipe isn't just a set of instructions to be followed like a robot. Julia likes her hamburgers completely different from the way pepin enjoys his. Great lesson.
