It would be amazing if she took home that Emmy! She so highly deserves it for such a powerful performance.

Julianne Nicholson wasn’t on my radar before Mare of Easttown. But man, did she blow me away. Such deep-felt understanding of the Lori character, and such powerful performances. It’s silly to make it a competition, but she almost stole Kate Winslet’s thunder (who also gave, I think, the best performance of her life). Such strong and wounded woman characters, and such great actresses.

She could easily play a young Shirley MacLaine in a movie
