Just want to let you know that walmart sometimes sells a product called "Bibigo Korean style mini wontons" in a 24oz bag. It's around $7 typically, when in store, BUT each serving is 13 mini wontons AND there is about 5 servings per bag. If you don't give the full serving because you are having the noodles or some other appropriate side, you can stretch it out to feed more people (maybe kids who typically eat less anyway than an adult)? Just thought I'd let you know, because that box of pot stickers was really small for its price! Love your videos!

Another great way of using the croissant dough is putting in a pie tin and spreading evenly out. Then you can combine sausage (I usually cook the whole pack, add half to the mixture and freeze the other half for later use), 4-5 eggs, about 1/2 cup of milk, some leafy greens or veggies that you like (I prefer spinach), half a bag of mozzarella, and seasoning to your liking. Mix it all up, put in in the prepare pie tin and bake it for 25-30 minutes at 350. It's an easy Quiche and it's soooo good while being a nice breakfast meal that doesn't sit heavy in the stomach. I saw this recipe on a KZfaq channel that does bulk meal prepping and swapped out the home-made pie dough with the croissant dough since I figure it would work the same, if I can find it again I'll edit to add the name. I found her channel!!! It's called Acre Homestead ^.^

This goulash recipe is to die for. The first time I made it my kids wanted leftovers and when they found out dad ate it by mistake there were actual tears. I have made this recipe twice a week for last 2 months. Everyone loves it. Even neighborhood picky kids will eat it up. I have shared this recipe so many times. It does not disappoint.

I made the first 3/5 recipes! None of my kids sadly liked the bean casserole or the potato one they called it school food🙄 but 1/3 kids liked the pasta dish. I’m gonna keep trying and playing with different recipes because these grocery prices are insane!!! The good thing is all of my kids love rice, beans and pasta. Can make many dishes with those items🙂 Thanks for the recipes!

I make my own spaghetti sauce with only tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic and onion powder and it always tastes great! It’s awesome you can add whatever seasonings you’re feeling for that meal. In Canada you could do the first recipe for $15. Ground beef or processed meat: $5 1 Onion: $1 1 Can of tomatos: $2 Shells and cheese: $2.50 to $5 (depends on where you buy) Block of cheese: $5 to $9 (depends if it is on sale)

You can substitute cream of chicken soup for the sour cream in the turkey casserole recipe. I particularly hate sour cream so I always find a workaround and this one turned out pretty good. :)

However, prices have increased even since this video. But beans, noodles , and can goods are available at your local food bank. Swallow your pride and feed everyone. You can also share cupboards with friends and family. Noodles, tuna, cheese, cream of mushroom soup, a little milk. Put every one's items together and watch public t.v. NO MORE CABLE. Take care everyone and walk together too. It takes a village. Teamwork in Recession.

And remember your public library! They have tons of resources besides just books. Many have rental programs for cooking supplies and tools. Ours has a puzzle trade and board game trading.

Thank you for the recipes, Julia. Some of the Knorr rice sides are salty. I omit a little bit of the seasoning powder from the packages to reduce the sodium content. I add whatever veggies I have on hand, green peppers or fresh spinach to my Knorr rice. I saw your beautiful baby in your shopping cart.

Hey Julia! Next time you get potstickers at Walmart, look for the ones in a big bag. They’re like $9 or $10 in my state, but there’s about 30 potstickers in the bag, and it also comes with the sauce. They have vegetable, chicken, and pork ones; we’ve only tried the pork, and they’re pretty good. My mom and sister like to steam them in a little sesame oil for extra flavor, but I prefer them plain and with the sauce it comes with.

I keep the chicken ones stocked in my freezer. They are a great quick meal. And they’re $10 at my Walmart too.
