i think a lot of people underestimate this show and don't give it a chance, for being a "kids show", which is really sad cause this serie is so good and i'm sure a lot of them would like it

People saying it’s weird for them to be attracted to 16 year olds. Chronologically, the boys are 42. But mentally and physically (so to speak) they’re still 17. For us it’s been 25 years. But for them it’s only been a few hours. Think of it like they just woke up from cryostasis.

I like how everyone's reaction to JATP is like "This sis starting out kinda good, I mean it's a kids show, but kinda good" and then like "ok, I did not expect it to be this good" and then like "this is actually fenomenal" and "this music actually rocks" and at the end like "wait is that it?" and two secs later "ok I'm so invested now"

My favourite character is Alex. Not only is he really funny but he's also relatable. My favorite part of the show is the gay representation (which technically starts next episode but actually starts in episode 3). They just handle it so well and so casually while still allowing it to be important to the characters and the story overall.

I love all the boys. Alex is my child. Reggie is hilarious. Luke is a puppy. They’re all amazing. But my favorite character is Julie, hands down. She’s just The. Best. (And she’s the boys’ favorite as well. Like, they would literally go to the bottom of the ocean to get the purest form of rock salt if she asked for seasoning on her omelet. My favorite guy is Luke, mainly because he has some emotionally charged scenes that give you the feels and his relationship with Julie becomes next level profound throughout the series. I LOVE every aspect of this show!! All of the characters are so loveable and the music is incredible!!

Julie could play and sing that song without practice because she was sight-reading, which is what musicians are taught to do. It's when you play and/or sing through a piece of music without ever having seen it before. Now, the proficiency at which she was performing it was over-exaggerated, but essentially the musician would look over it for a couple of minutes, looking for certain rhythms, accidentals, the key, the time signature, etc...and then they would perform it, going as far as they can without stopping.

FUN FACT: the song perfect harmony was NOT originally in the series. Charlie and Madison wrote it themselves and brought it to the director and asked for it to be included!

I had similar feelings when I first watched the show: like it had some Disney channel moments but then the sense of humour was so good and the comedy so well done that I warmed up to the characters so quickly. And then Julie sang Wake Up and I cried and I binged the rest of the show twice in a row.
