I'm from China. When I was about 12, first learning English, I love watching all her films and listening to her music. I remember I used to listen to this concert again and again on that old desktop in my home. I accidentally open this video today and I found that every word and every syllable she sings or speaks are stored in my brain and they can just easily flow out like a stream. This video brings me back to the good old days, and I realize that I have never stopped loving her.

It’s May 17, 2024 and I’m still watching. I’ll never tire of watching her. She is the world’s best - and I’ve loved her ever since she rolled her eyes in “The Sound of Music.” I was 19 years old when I first saw her/heard her and I’m 78 years old now. From the moment my mom put me the sound of music (4 years old) , I was caught by her voice So wonderful, in addition to being incredibly beautiful, I am almost 37 years old and since I was a child I am a big fan of the unique and incomparable Julie Andrews, it is strange to love someone you do not know but surely I am not the only one, we love you Julie Andrews. Every time I hear her singing before her vocal cords were butchered, I want to cry. No amount of damages won in a lawsuit begins to make up for the loss of one of the greatest voices ever. She still has a lovely speaking voice...small comfort.

@@jnul21 Agree. She is one of my role models. It doesn't happen a lot these days, but you could hear every word of every song she sang and I think she should have been proud of that. I try to enunciate as well as possible too when I sing.

For my 50th birthday, I was given airline tickets to NYC along with tickets to “Victor, Victoria” with Julie Andrews. I thought I had died & gone to heaven! She left the show the week before the date of my tickets to have that horrific surgery that changed everything. I still grieve the loss of her voice and revel in every opportunity to see and hear her in any medium.

2021 and still watching. (We really needed to start a new thread for 2021, not just tag along on 2020.) She's 53 I think in this show and she still looks, moves, and sounds great. I watch "Le Jazz Hot" every time I need to get psyched up. I listen to the rest for her wonderful voice. so clear and powerful, with remarkable range and clarity, as well as for the total esperience that is Julie Andrews, full of energy and the joy of life.

@@bookerdewitt474 She had a vocal cyst in the late 90s. The surgery left her with damage to her vocal folds. She can sing a little, but not like this anymore. That surgeon should be boiled in hot oil.

Just totally love Julie Andrews, My mum took me at 13 to watch the Sound of Music, we went twice, I missed choir practice and was in deep trouble as I love music and never missed choir practice, ,I am now 71, have watched it all my life !!! Seen it 4 times since Christmas 2021, Beautiful voice and so attractive, and cried when Christopher Plummer died, what a dish,I had a real crush on him and the children were wonderful, It will always be my favourite film, Thank you Julie x

I love the film of Julie andrews in the year of 1960s that film Is the sound of music. I watched The Sound Of Music with my Mom how many times I don’t remember I was 9 years old it’s my first long playing album also listening to it all the times I memorized all the songs there I still remember it now I’m 61 now and still watch The Sound Of Music

This was originally in 1989, before her surgery, which pretty much ruined her singing voice. She has (had) one of the best voices ever, in my opinion. I never tire of her.
