And two years later im starting to build this model as my first build i have ever done. before this i've only had bind and fly eflight timbers, anyway just mounted the motor today getting some progress done between work and other stuff love the j3 absolutely awesome plane.😊

Really nice scale look for bering foam. Instead of struts you can cover the wings with brown Kraft paper. Then you can even paint it with spray paint to a high gloss :)

Hi thank you so much for this great vidéo. Can you confirm that the spar (wing connector) is made of 3 x 3mm plywood glued together. On the plan the space for it is 9 mm so I guess so

This is a great build!! I will definitely be building it. There was one thing I didn’t get in the build video though, when building the engine cowling it seemed like there is not enough of the threaded portion of the motor to attach a propeller to. Did you use some sort of extension to attached the propeller? Much appreciated, thanks!

Julius, a question: if the wingspan is 130cm and the wing area is 24.8 dm2, then the wing chord should be19cm, but according to plans, W9 wing base is 23+ cm long! Anyway the available room from the windshield and the fuselaje at F7 is around 19cm.

Awesome build and skills! J3 are my favorite, built a few in balsa and in different sizes. Does anyone knows were to buy Depron sheets in the US? And what could be a good substitute, like Elmer's foam board? Can't find what those are made of (Foam type). Thanks for sharing your creativity. Looking forward to build this one for real.
