I have just purchased this half box easel for Plein Air painting, that holds larger size canvases
It is somewhat lightweight (5kg), if not loaded with painting materials, and attached to backpack.
I hiked with it for 20 minutes to my painting location!

Thankyou you've just persuaded me to buy one of these, about to start my oil painting journey and had been looking at pochard boxes but very expensive and shipping was almost the same price, I much prefer these, they look more rigid against the weather too.

Hi Annika, can you share what/how you used to strap the easel to your backpack?

Hi! I use one thick bungee cord and another smaller one. I just wrap it around my back bag and the easel
