Thankyou you've just persuaded me to buy one of these, about to start my oil painting journey and had been looking at pochard boxes but very expensive and shipping was almost the same price, I much prefer these, they look more rigid against the weather too.

Yes, With a lot of patience. The instructions weren’t clear at all …. Took me forever to figure it out

Hi! I use one thick bungee cord and another smaller one. I just wrap it around my back bag and the easel

I just received one and the bottom panel holder clip seems to slip down too easily, letting the panel pop out. Have you experienced this issue?

Really interesting to see how the painting changes (eg the darker undercoat of the water in the studio) - there's almost 3 or 4 different possible pictures there:)

Yes, it started with overcast sky, when I returned the other day the weather changed and I really liked the blue sky with some clouds…😊

Thank you 😊 I always get nervous before setting up in public, and the beginning stages of the painting, as I think to myself, when people pass by and look at my painting, they must think I have no clue what I’m doing 😂 But it passes, thankfully Take a change, it’s so worth it 🤗

@@annikabustromstudio Yes I will its bad enough taking photo's for reference on my next urban painting I did paint a lot in Winchester many years ago when I still lived there but I now live either in South Africa or here in Scotland but when I can afford it I will buy a proper easel for outside thankyou for the reply and good luck with your painting which I like.

Hi Annika, I enjoyed your painting process but feel it needed more work to give it more life. Perhaps more saturation in places. It seems to be only three quarters finished which is typical of a plein air painting. The final magic tends to happen back in the studio. Your video quality is amazingly sharp and clear, possibly the best quality plein air video I have watched and I've watched many. I'll be watching for more from you. Thank you.

Thank you for your comment! I rarely finish the painting/study outdoors, I like to let it sit couple of days and then add the lightest lights and darks. And some more details. I personally don’t like to work Alla prima… but in layers. I often only paint for maximum of 40-50 minutes on a painting and then return to the location when the weather conditions are more or less the same. I did work on this painting a little more afterwards. You have got a good point though….much appreciate it 👍🏼😊 I don’t have any proper filming equipment , just my iPhone… the camera is quite good and sharp on the newer iPhones
