That was an amazing video. Can't believe you hiked that trail in flip flops. I would have hired the guys with the boat to take us back to where your scooter was. I was very happy to see you back safely on your scooter lol. Been to the DR about 12 times so loving seeing these remote ⛱. Thank you so much for your great vlogs ❤.

In Puerto Rico, it is spelled arroz con gandules. English for gandules is pigeon peas.

Hey those two locals fixed you guys up with a pretty good hydrating energy break _ The intro drone shot of that little beach, same one at 17:25-17:30, is the cutest little beauty of a beach _ Maybe someday you might put together a video of the just beaches, the best beaches in your travels _ i think it would be a big "hit"

After the beach and jungle hike and scary stuff....coconut- perfect reward. What a day! You 2 did SO much....your stamina during the 'hike beyond expectations'....anything that takes you past your 'limit' is so good for you. This is one of your best videos....you captured the entire day so well. Especially the voodoo jungle drama...it was actually somewhat worrisome.

The beans in the rice are called "Gandules" or "Pidgeon Peas". It is also a favorite dish in Puerto Rico during Christmas period.

The good thing about my country is that there is no venenous animals,like snakes,frogs,spiders,etc,etc......the old man probably had plantains,yuca,batatas and that was probably a set up from some movie,they film a lot of movies in DR,like the arrival of Columbus recently........I am very happy you guys are enjoying my beautiful country, sorry for the scamers😡(by the way samana people use a lot of coconut for the food,is known for that)

Great drone coverage on this one Chris. You and Carol did one hell of a hike to get to that nice beach you kicked back at. The meal looked like it was delicious for sure. At least you could of had a banana as you walked past the freaky head hunter skull area and the wild huts. Yeah, you both did a great and exciting hike. loved the palms everywhere and all the banana trees, makes you wonder what else was growing out there to eat. I really enjoyed the video and yes, you both deserve a long rest. peace my friends.

You didn't visit Ermitaño II which is definitely the star of the trail. Same a Rincon beach the last part at the end is the most beautiful.

By the way i think the beach you went to is actually Ermitaño 2, Ermitaño 1 is the most beautiful of the 2.

They went to both Ermitaño 1 and 2, in that order. The small one they didn't visit and only appeared in the drone shots is called Playa Honda.

Playa Onda is a sandy beach in El Limón. Playa Onda offers a lot of space for sunbathing. July, August, September, October are the best months to visit Playa Onda and other beaches in El Limón, because that's when the temperatures are warm and there's probably less crowd (not guaranteed).
