President John F. Kennedy’s address at the Free University of Berlin in Berlin, Germany. In his speech the President thanks the school for the Honorary Citizen award bestowed upon him, describes his hopes for the reunification of Germany, and discusses the future of Berlin in the context of the ideals of truth, justice, and liberty. A crowd of nearly 20,000 gathers on the campus of Freie Universität, in Berlin’s Dahlem district. Those seated on stage include Chancellor of West Germany, Konrad Adenauer; Mayor of West Berlin, Willy Brandt; Speaker of the Berlin House of Representatives, Otto Bach; Free University Rector, Ernst Heinitz; French Commandant in Berlin, Major General Edouard Toulouse; Director of Radio in the American Sector (RIAS) in Berlin and translator for President Kennedy, Robert Lochner.

I SAW HIM IN MY HOMETOWN CORK CITY IRELAND IN JUNE I963 I WAS GIVEN TIME OFF WORK TO GO SEE HIM A MASSIVE CROWD TURNED OUT TO GREET HIM I HAVE NOT SEEN THE LIKE EVER OR SINCE HE LOOKED HAPPY AND WAS SMILING AS HE WAVED TO THE CROWD I SAW HIM ON THE SOUTH MALL IN CORK CITY HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO MEET THE LORD MAYOR OF CORK CITY SEAN CASEY AND OTHER DIGNITARIES THEN OF COURSE CAME THAT AWFUL INFAMOUS DAY IN DALLAS TEXAS WHICH WILL LIVE FOREVER IN MY MIND WHEN HE WAS MURDERED BLACK FRIDAY NOVEMBER 22ND 1963 A SAD DAY FOR THE U S A AND THE REST OF THE WORLD J F K R I P AMEN ❤

Thx buddy,i have researched the coup that took place that day when the defacto government alphabet gangs murdured the best president we ever had,who was actually for the people,and i have never heard or realized that it happened on black Friday. Learn something new every day i guess.

Inspite of who critics say he was, JFK proved himself very qualified and able to exercise leadership for the U. S. and of the whole world. For all his human weaknesses, he "atoned" for them in various ways of service for the common good.His brutal murder was a proof of his special endowments from God because the envious and the evil inclined saw in his capabilities the hindrance of their ambitious desires. 😊
