I love your art! I hope you get to visit the South of Spain soon, because many of the things you've mentioned are originary from (flamenco music, that regional dress, Osborne, Picasso...) or especially typical of (olives, siesta, sangría, carnations...) Andalusia. We have beaches, mountains and beautiful cities to explore, and your Andalusian Internet friends would love to meet you! ❣

I love your paintings in this spread!! My brother-in law's grandfather was from Spain and my sister met my bro-in-law in high school so we grew up with Spanish music and food as well! I could really feel the energy of when you were telling the story of walking back to the hotel to get your credit card. I think a lot of us are missing that sense of freedom and peace and it was lovely to feel that for a moment through your words.

My mother also listened to and loved the Gypsy Kings when I was young. My mother played the guitar and it is still today one of my favorite instruments. Spanish guitar is such a beautiful sound. When you mentioned Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan looking very similar/ the same, I laughed out loud. I totally agree and I’ve have thought that for years. Both very handsome men. Loved this month theme. The paintings, history and spread was just beautiful. Amazing job!!

Tudo muito lindo, Torryn!! Sobre a siesta, aqui no Brasil era comum há uns 40, 50 anos, as pessoas tirarem umas 2h de sono após o almoço. Acho que ainda ocorre em cidades pequenas o comércio fechar e voltar a abrir depois. Eu estudei espanhol na universidade; é um desejo conhecer a Espanha. 💛❤️

Love this theme, you did an awesome job with it! You need to try paella again, it should be full of flavor! I also definitely think you should travel to Barcelona, seeing all of the unique architecture in real life it so amazing and I think you would really love it! ❤

Both the Casa Batlló and Sagrada Familia are beautiful buildings inside and out. Should you ever go back to Spain and visit Barcelona, I ABSOLUTELY recommend visiting Sagrada Familia and going inside. The walls are a cream white and there is so much light coming in and they have those amazing colorful windows. When I went there and entered the basilica, I was stopped in my tracks because its all so beautiful.

Beautiful! I love the highlights you capture of these countries. Also enjoy the stories that go with the art making 😊 I recognized your drawing as Penelope Cruz even before the paint was added. Great job. BTW, that is so interesting about the oldest restaurant. I had to look it up! As for Dali, I've been to his museum here in Florida USA many times and it is spectacular, inside and out!

Such a pretty theme! I was really excited to see finally one of your themes based on my country! Tbh i always found super funny how all international people call "siesta" when shops closed at midday because it only mean nap in spanish, the truth is almost nobody take naps (only children or when you're at summer break and it's freaking hot outside), usually we have "sobremesa" that is a tradition or custom when we finish our food we stay on the table speaking with each other while we eat desserts, drink coffe or with some alcoholic drinks. This could take between 30min or hours if you're at a familiar gathering 😂. Also, at midday usually is when the weather is hotter so nobody wants to go shopping when is 40º celsius 🥲 You should visit or seach about the north of Spain, it's totally different than the south (plus the food in places like Galicia, Asturias or Pais Vasco is amazing 🤤💖)

It's kinda of a myth that usually people tell, in the end small shops usually close at midday because the law said you only can work 8h (more count as extra hours and should be paid more) to count 40h weekly that is the maximum ☺️. So shops with few workers start at 8/9 am or early, close at 2 pm, open at 4/5 pm and don't close until 9/10 pm. It's one of the problems with still having Germany timezone after Franco dictactorship :') Sorry for the long messages and if my english is not the best 😅
