As I approach retirement, I'd like to relocate from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but real estate costs are absurdly high, and mortgage rates have been steadily rising (now over 7%). Shall I simply put my extra money into stocks and wait for the housing market to crash, or should I purchase a house now?
@BaileyJames-zv2dddАй бұрын
I concur entirely. I recently retired and had no debt, about 1.2 million in outside retirement accounts, and very little in retirement funds compared to the size of my portfolio during the previous three years. In actuality, the invt-advisor's significance can only be ignored as opposed to denied. only need to look into it to get a trustworthy one.
@collins.l454Ай бұрын
It matters not how much money you save, but how you handle it. Whether you work for a living or invest, it still boils down to revenue vs. expenses, so sure, you may look into financial consultants for a strategy that suits you.
@agentjacob4099Ай бұрын
That is incredibly fascinating. How can I get in contact with the investment advisor that is helping you while my portfolio is getting smaller?

I used a small hot house as a catio. I placed it outside of a window under the backporch. I placed a piece of wood in the lower half of a window and installed a cat door in the wood. The hot house opens up on top which allows access to the cat litter box. It has worked super well. I did it for the purpose of having the litter outside.🎉🎉

I admire your lifestyle and your independence. Having women friends is very important. I would love to find a new friend I could chat with over coffee. I usually get a cup when I join you. Our lives are very different but I feel like I could spend hours talking with you. I know you are going to address land in your another video. I hope you can buy your land by the time you retire. I lived many years on several secluded acres. It was wonderful. Living there debt free was a great feeling. We recently moved to a retirement community where we have much less responsibility and help close by if we need it. I started watching you when we started talking about moving into a smaller place. You make living in the tiny house look comfortable and happy. It has been an adjustment for me to be in a small cottage but I'm glad we made the move. I have much less responsibility here but you make me want to continue to learn new things. As a side note, I am old enough to be your mother. Thank you for thinking of the folks enduring the heat. We are having an unusually hot dry June in central VA.

You wouldn't have any problem learning how to do a web page if you wanted to and had a little time to do it. The web page companies make it fairly easy with lots of beautiful templates and setups for storefront if desired. There are lots of video demos. I am an amateur but have set up websites for multiple local non-profits over the years. An advantage of making it yourself is that you know how to work with it yourself and control it to your satisfaction as you grow with it. However, if you prefer to hire someone and invest your time in another way, that is also totally understandable. You have options! 😊

Just to add, it really doesn't take that much time to set up a website. I could not have done the volunteer sites if it did! Just switch out some reading or movie time for website work.

We are both introverts and would be perfectly happy with just family, but do enjoy our church family and neighbors. Being debt free when you retire is very important. I do worry about our savings and such lasting as I haven't worked full time outside the home in 20 years. I think if you're sensible and live within your means, you can make it though. All the best from Missouri.

Just like I'm curious why your dad picked Canada. I talk with my hands all the time. And I have been here forever. My husband even caught me one time. Good video. Hi, sweet Sophie…you’re so cute when you come strolling into frame to greeet your public. 😁 The past two weeks or so here have been brutal…mid-90’s, no cloud cover, not a drop of rain. I mowed my mom’s yard yesterday and basically just kicked up dust and sweated for 60+ minutes. The upcoming 7-10 days looks to be more of the same. I’d LOVE a good 1-2 days of cloudy skies and steady, cooling rain. We’re reaching that “brown crunchy grass that doesn’t grow” phase, which we typically don’t see until late-Julynor August, so summer just hit early this year. All of June has been more toasty than usual, but it’ll pass at some point and settle back down again. My friend in Arizona, the Phoenix area, has had weeks of triple digits. 108-117, whichbI can’t even wrap my head around. I’d just lay down and die to death. 🥵😩😊
