Join us as we explore Juneau Alaska's Mendenhall Glacier. We hike to the view point as well as hike the 2 mile (3.2 km) roundtrip trail to Nugget Falls. Finally, before leaving the glacier area, we walk the Steep Creek salmon and bear viewing trail. Back in Juneau, Carmelita finds the Christmas ornament store and we visit the famous Red Dog Saloon.

Nugget Falls looks like a giant version of Hug Point falls here on the oregon coast.

Thanks for watching and commenting! We haven't visited Hug Point falls on the Oregon coast (yet). What really impressed us about Nugget Falls is how close we were - the sound, and even the feel of the powerful water. Good times for sure! I think the Steep Creek walk would also be incredible when the salmon are running. The walkways and platforms would be an excellent place to view bears fishing.

So you have a lot of work now? Will there be more "fish"? How much can you catch? Or is the quantity limited? We wish you a lot of pleasure at work and then while eating.
