This scene lingers in my mind from time to time and always touches my heart. Cinema back then had so much heart and didn’t feel nearly as forced/cheesy as it does now. Love ya, Dad. I know you won’t see this, but “me happy to be with baboon”

I have a sad relationship with my Dad, I yearn for the Dad I always wanted as a kid and at 28 I’m realized some people don’t know how to change and he looks just like my father. This scene helps me because I feel like I’m seeing him even though I had to block him from my life, I know this isn’t a therapy group lol but thank you for posting this, I’ve watched this many times, God bless you

There was an after credits scene where Mimi gives the lighter to the chief, but when I just watched the movie on Disney+ it wasn't there.

The only thing that stands out in this scene these days is this kid just walked onto a plane with a bow and arrows, a blow dart and prolly a knife too….. Can we go back to 1996-1997 when everything was easier, better, no bills, endless summers, friends that were still around… before social media, before it was all ruined by politics and pronouns… probably the last generation to know what the “old America” was, the “good America”

Why was mimi sad?

Mimi was sad and disappointed when he asked his dad if he was ever goin to come back with him. He departed from his dad disappointed with the thought of never seeing his dad again

@@ISLANDGAMERx So he was sad because he thought his dad wasn’t going to see him after his trip? I thought he was sad because he failed the chief for not capturing the fire from the statue.

@@payasoloco1287 that's part of it too but mostly because his dad nodded when he asked if he'd ever come to Lipolipo to which he didn't reply. dead give away
