Great video Jungle Scout! I have a few questions: 1 - How does the process of getting a sample and taking photos and videos of it come about? I'm a bit blurry on that entire process. 2 - Does the maker of the products send product directly to a fulfillment center? If so, how does that work? (In regards to labeling and stuff + knowing which center to send to)

1. We have a great blog post about getting samples from your supplier - bit.ly/3sXqlSH 😊 2. Yes, usually they do have experience in shipping products straight to Amazon's warehouse. However, it could be that they only ship it to the US port, and after that, you will need to take care of the rest. It really depends on what you agree on with your supplier! ^PW

Quick question, hypothetically speaking: I’m selling a well known product and the wholesaler is within the US and is willing to ship to one of the amazon warehouses, do I need a bar code or any identification that says the product should be under my store, not under the other buybox sellers?

For everyone here trying to do amazon whole sale, i would recommend fbm, as you don't have to invest to buy inventory in advance, as well as other headaches. Simply find the product you want to sell, then go for china fulfilment, like hypersku, eprollo and their competitors, shipping time is about 5 to 8 days, they will source the product with best quality and for the least price possible, will do quality checking and will cover other needs as well, what's the con is returns, anyhow there are very low chances of returns in wholesale, as they offer US free warehousing for First 3 months, so they will care the returns as well. Hi! Much appreciate the way you've summarized the entire wholesale model in one video. I started wholesale in the UK and USA separately with different legal documents and companies. Everything was set up, I kept on sending emails to brands and asking them for reselling. Almost every brand agreed to allow me to resell their products NOT on Amazon but through my own website. I did this process for more than 7 months and ended up being hopeless and frustrated. Since this is Q1 and I'm giving one best and may be the last try. PLEASE tell me why brands don't even want to hear AMAZON's name when it comes to reselling? I'm very much willing to start my own business instead of a job.

@@junglescout when some brands allow to sell, they have very high MoQ like USD $10,000 for first inventory that seems not possible. Secondly, they give distributors to buy from in lower MOQ like $500 but distributors have higher prices than that of brands and Profit goes in minus after calculating everything. I'm actually stuck, please make video on it. Secondly, make a video on Amazon dropshipping as well.

If you are selling wholesale and then you run a ppc ad for the listing, if a person clicks on the sponsored listing, you got the buybox in that case right? even if another seller owns the buybox for the organic listing of that product? I'm not sure if my question makes sense (: Just starting to learn this! Thanks in advance.

Great question! From my understanding, you cannot run an Amazon PPC ads campaign without the Buy Box. In order to run active Sponsored Product ads, you do need to have “won” the buy box for your listing. 😉 - FO

As always, great talking points and clarifications. Question: I’m having a hard time getting clear direction for a resale certificate vs a resellers license for selling wholesale FBA. How this works and how /when it is used. For example, if I connect with a brand owner, they ask for the certificate of resale and is that a “forever” agreement between my company and theirs or is it per each type of product? Also, some of the info seems confusing. Thank you for any guidance or feedback! Please keep up the great content!

Great question! I would recommend hiring a tax lawyer or an accountant for this, though from our understanding, you need to get the resale certificate in the state your business is registered. The longevity of the agreement will depend on your negotiations and terms with the brand owner.

Question: When Amazon assign you which warehouse to ship your product to, do you need to register as reseller to the state ( where that warehouse is located) to be exempt by your supplier from Sales tax as reseller? Or is that covered by Amazon (meaning Amazon -as marketplace facilitator- is the one registered to the state) and we’re exempt from sales tax? TiA for reply 🙏🏻

If you didn't create the listing or if the listing is owned by a brand, you will not be able to edit the listing outright. However, you can send feedback to the listing owner or contact seller central support if there are any inaccuracies. 😁 - FO

I am also confused with this. So for example if i find a product that already has 1 seller. Just another amazon seller like me. From there i reach out to the actual brand via their website and mention that i can optimise their listing if i can sell for them on amazon. If they agree, how can i edit that listing that is already been run by someone else? Do i make a new listing I really don’t understand😣

Great question! When you create a shipping plan in your account, Amazon will let you know the addresses of the warehouses you are sending to :)

Amazing content,much useful information there should be a three-part video that you guys should do on this from the beginning of product searching then the middle conversations of negotiating with the brands should be the second video and the last video after negotiating with the brands fixing their listings all the way to sending the product to the Amazon warehouse for the third part it would be a really great course

Hello Junglescout, this was the best video on YT regarding FBA - thank you so much! But I'm trying to find wholesalers in UK that has best prices and most products that are sold on Amazon, but I can't find any good :( I wanted to do all my wholesale from BigBuy - but most of the items on Amazon can't be found there - or the cost of the products are too high compared to the Amazon listing price so no profits can be made... That's why I'm stuck in the process

Thank you! Try to use different keywords like bulk products, clearance, flash sale, mega sale, blowout sale, etc to find companies with an excess of products they are selling at low prices you can leverage!

Hi JS Team! How would you proceed with contacting brands/manufacturers/suppliers when the product listing quality score in Amazon is a 9/10 or 10/10? If there really isn't much or any room for improvement on a listing, how would you proceed to convince a brand to open a wholesale account with you? What wording would you use?

Hi Jose! Take a look at the reviews, that's where you'll find customer feedback and complaints that you can action on. Even if there are no complaints, there will be things people wish the product had. Capitalize on this and don't hesitate to contact the manufacturer to see what modifications can be made to make your product stand out :)

What's the process like after you place an order - specifically, wouldn't you need a prep center to ensure they handle the labeling packing and/or shipping to the FBA warehouse?

It depends, some wholesalers can handle this and ship straight to Amazon. You could opt to have a prep center or 3PL handle this, we even know some who do this in a garage, basement or spare room!

Hi Madelin, you will need approval from the brand and Amazon to optimize the listing. If you are a private label seller, you own the listing, and you should not have any problem with making the listing modifications. 😊

Hi. Great Video. Thank you. One question that I have is. If in the scenario, you find a whole sale website and can sign up and buy items online without talking to them directly. Do I even have to mention I am selling them on amazon or can I just purchase them and sell them independently.. Is the permission essential?

This would depend on the policy of the website you are purchasing from. If they allow it, then you can definitely sell those products on Amazon. From our experience, it is always better to double check

Hi, I applied step by step what I have seen in this video and with those filters with maximum 5 sellers on the listings, FBM and no Amazon, the JS results were, listings with 9, 13 sellers on the same listing, Amazon everywhere, an average ROI between 39-70% etc. Also, when I found a supplier among the sellers, the prices on their website were very close to those listed on Amazon, so the ROI is not profitable at all.

And with regard to the prices, yes, that's really happening. But there are still a lot of opportunities and our product research tools will help you find those products. Competition is a good sign that the product has demand and is profitable. As long as you see a rotation in the buybox and you are ungated in the listing, you should be good to go.

I am really interested in starting Amazon as a wholeseller and would like to ask if any person from outside of US, that wants to start wholesale on amazon would still require the LLC and resale Certificate? Have you considered going to Wyoming or Delaware to establish your LLC? They're the most seller-friendly states that most sellers are using. 😉

Are you planning to sell on Amazon.com (US) or Amazon UK? Brian gave the usual basic requirements from brands in the US based on his experience but you can start a wholesale business model with other marketplaces also, but brands from different places may have different requirements. ^EG

You may be required to get a business license, a sales tax permit, or a “resale certificate.” These two items allow you to purchase products tax-free and to collect sales tax on your state’s behalf. Quick question - What if you were someone that did not open a wholesale account with the supplier and got it elsewhere from a different local or online wholesaler. Would you still need legal documentation or can you just buy the products and send to Amazon without opening any business account if that makes sense.

A business account is not required by Amazon, it may be required by your local government. Normally the supplier/manufacturer is the one that requests the license to ensure your business is legit.
