Eight new junior doctors join Barnsley A&E and face tough shifts and critical patients. On the emergency ward, junior doctors experience a range of cases, from suspected sepsis to patients battling cancer. Each case presents a unique challenge for the staff and despite the pressure of their work, these young medical professionals strive to help make a difference in their patients' lives.
Casualty 24/7 is a docu-reality series following the junior doctors of Barnsley A&E department. The reality series allows for a peek inside the hearts and minds of the medical emergency teams, and how they deal with critical situations revolving around people's lives and illnesses. The close-knit team exchanges typical Yorkshire banter and humor to aid them with getting through their often long and tough days.

I love Jean. She personifies the very best of a generation: grace, humor, gratitude, and affection. Reminds me of my Grandma Mousie. I want to wrap her in a gentle hug, take her home, and bring her tea and biscuits while she recovers. Gorgeous.

Jean reminds me of this lady I use to look after at work called Elsa.. same personality and just brighten up your day almost everytime they speak. Absolutely adore her! I want her to live close by so I can check on her and listen to her stories 🥴😩

Look how kind these people are to their patients. The doctors AND the nurses are so kind. No complaing, moaning, making fun of people OR ignoring them! Wow!!! Ohh, look, they also actually find out whats wrong with them instead of ignoring for hours on end and sending them home like people speak about in America. They get kicked out and die in the parking lots. If only the USA cared for humanity like they do.

I have never been kicked out of a hospital and left to die in the parking lot. I am in stage 3 Heart Failure and I get the best care there is in the United States.

Doctors nurses and hospital staff definitely have the most important and most stressful job in the world trying to save people from dying or deal with serious injurys. Well done to the doctors and nurses who do a good job looking after patients and neing nice to them 👍

In the United States you have to sign a D-N-R or do not resuscitate form if you do not not wish to receive resuscitation procedures in the event of cardiac arrest or respiratory failure. Other wise the Doctors have to do what they can to keep you alive.

The road allowance people, the paupers and foundliings; All of them had to cope with a lot. So do those trying to preserve their lives instead of ending them. Some of those medical personel were former road allowance people, etc.

Sisters, as in nurse, not a religious order. It's a UK term when a nurse has many years of experience & oversees the unit and other nurses.

They are not church members per se. In England, nurses are called “sisters “ by tradition.
