Each of these is Brennan doing some kind of DM Aikido to use each player's comedic strength against them. He breaks Murph with characters that are undone by bad decisions and worse rolls. He breaks Emily with an insane shenanigan pulled out of nowhere. He breaks Zac with a short and completely deadpan one-liner.

in dante's inferno the concept of "contrapasso" is used to punish those trapped in hell in a manner befitting the sins they committed in life, which feels something similar to being stuck in the dome with a demiurge like brennan lee mulligan who just has to watch and wait long enough to know how you work

truly conflicted over the absolute funny factor that adding the "cassandra passing... THE TEST TO GET MORE SPELLS" bit would've been and the way this is so perfectly tailored for a specific member one the cast. Siobhan, Lou, and Ally better watch out, because it'll be their turn soon
