Ooh la la! Look at your hoarded treasures!! Squeeeeee! I, for one, can appreciate your ‘lack’(?) of organization, the need to move to go get something. Isn’t that how we all work, pretty much? I really would feel restricted if I had to only work with what I first chose - as ideas and inspiration strike unexpectedly. Thanks for sharing your process and ideas and all the glory of your creativity. Hugs 🤗

What a beautiful elegant cover made with old and cherished things. Love it! As I always say… do it your way when you are being creative, you aren’t doing a teaching tutorial that someone is paying for so no one has the right to comment on you process. You are fabulous just the way you are. Be you! Enjoy! Have lots of fun! 😊🌸😊

I absolutely love watching your process! The ups and downs, auditioning pieces, thinking, looking, and all the mess! It actually helps me be a bit more open to just letting things come to me when they do, instead of planning ahead. Do Not let anyone pass judgement on you!!!!! I hear you always defending yourself, and I think it's appauling that some have created this need to defend in such a beautiful, sweet, and gifted soul as you.

Oh my goodness. You just get up all you want!! Crafting should have a natural flow, not a rigid schedule. I say if someone wants to pay for a tutorial, then they may be entitled to have some organization. However, when someone is giving their time/ideas freely, then one should just appreciate the time & effort that goes into making videos & content. Rant over 😊 Most of us really appreciate your creativity & time!!

Rachel you are an inspiration to me, I am almost 79 and have been hoarding treasures for years...this COVID has me staying home and creating with what I have and enjoy...journals give me the opportunity to use and store paper items I have in boxes...my idea is to have journals full of loved items that I know where they are and not leave them all in boxes...it is because of you and many others that share on KZfaq that I enjoy my stash at this time of being alone and safe...thank you and just keep being you💕love from Minnesota💕

I'm so excited to watch this journal come together, you have the most beautiful things. It's also so fun to hear your thought process. Hi Rachel. I love watching your process. That dove was perfect! Please don’t give credit to the negative, critical people. Do you. It’s nothing to do with disorganization. I'm happy to hear you don't cut up the more precious items. I rummage through the boxes at antique stores and find beautiful hand stitched hankies and doilies that I sew on my sweaters and tops. I try not to cut them and just add ribbons and buttons. Old lace is a rare find and it's very, very expensive here in the US.

In the words of a Welsh friend, tell those rude people to “bugger off.” You cannot stymie your creative flow. I now know what to do with all the antique lace I bought over 25 years ago that is sitting in a drawer. I think it was last week that you said that one should not hoard their treasurers, but use them. I will be sewing my old laces and trims to make a journal! Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs, Susan

Rachel, I love your channel but I just have to suggest to you, since you’re left handed, to put your glue on the left side of your project so you don’t have to reach across your work every time to load your brush. Life will be a whole lot easier for you and you won’t risk dropping glue on your project either. It will save you a little time as well. I have to remember to keep mine on the right side cause I’m right handed. 😍

This is such a wonderful idea for a project. The old journals are amazing and I am sure that yours will turn out just as beautiful. I am looking forward to seeing what you create and to following every moment of the project. By the way, the way you do things, whether other think it is disorganized or ...whatever...is just fine with me. I enjoy the honesty of your method and technique. It is genuine. Take care.

Thanks again Rachel. Beautiful cover. It’s so difficult to make decisions. I thought if you put the brown in the middle, it may halve the look of length on the cover. But who am I, - I’m learning from you all the time! Love your lace. Very difficult to find old things here in W.A.🌷🌷

why do people feel the need to leave mean/negative comments -- "organize yourself before starting the video" -- Being an antique myself, I personally love love love when you break out the vintage and antique fabrics, especially when it is spontaneous -- you're in the moment, moved by the spirit -- a memory of a little snippet that would be perfect for that spot -- also, I invite these folks to do just one video -- it's hard, I don't care how many you've done in the past -- camera angles , download times, stitching videos together -- sheesh !

@@roxycreations679I got yo back, even if it's from across the ocean !!! Hope you guys have a lovely lovely time on your trip. I think about the only thing worse than you talking about your MIL's delicious cooking, is "holidaying in Tuscany." -- maybe you'll luck out and find someone having a little tuscan yard sale -- do you call them boot sales or something? I'm happy for you-all to be able to get away while you can. Covid #s are increasing here, and the governor of our state reinstated phase 1 rules back into the beach area. I spoke to the realtor, and the farmhouse is empty and still available, but I don't think we are "qualified renters" but the owners may be willing to relax some of the rules as opposed to it sitting empty month after month. Fingers crossed !! I just learned where that expression came from -- from early Christians it was a way of making the sign of the cross without being fed to the lions. Yep, that and ten bucks will get you overpriced coffee at Starbucks -- ha. Have a great great time.

@@roxycreations679 Oh, sorry -- I was talking to my friend who works in media and he told me that the "next phase" has already been distributed to all the media which owns the company where he works -- and they own all types of media: tv, radio, newspaper, small local tv stations across the country, some cable networks -- here in the US under a campaign called "Protect your Neighbor." It's first being aimed at the senior population and other households with "at risk" people -- people with chronic illness, lung issues, etc. -- and it made me think of you and that old lady at her gate yelling at you guys that you couldn't take a walk -- it's being rolled out as a way to care for at-risk populations, and what it really amounts to is spying on your neighbors -- I know it's expensive, but if I were you, I'd stock up on printer paper, ink and lots of that fabulous giotto glue -- here in the US, the company gorilla glue claims their glue sticks adhere to fabrics, so I'm going to give it a try -- but also, your pva glue works just as well as fabritac, etc. -- you could experiment, and I'm thinking I might this afternoon -- pour a little fingernail polish remover into your pva and do the experiment -- that is the only difference. Hugs, girlie -- don't let those beautiful Italian young men makes eyes at your beautiful daughter in what is one of the most beautiful places on earth -- !! Ha.
