Jupiter, the biggest planet in our solar system holds many secrets. Many of them are still unknown mysteries for us. In 2011, NASA sent a space probe named JUNO. It is sent to study Jupiter and its moons. Juno had captured many photos and videos of Jupiter and its Galilean Moons, which are Ganymede, Callisto, IO and Europa. Many Scientists think there might be some possibilities of life in the icy moon, Europa. Watch this video to know more about the secrets and features of Jupiter. NASA sent Juno spacecraft for many purpose. One of its biggest purpose was to find out whether Jupiter has a solid inner core or not. Juno partially succeeded in that purpose. Juno found evidence for suggesting that there might be a solid inner core beneath the gas. Jupiter is mainly composed of Hydrogen and Helium. But, many other elements are also present in the atmosphere of Jupiter, including water molecules and oxygen. Jupiter protects Earth from getting hit by an asteroid. If it was not for Jupiter, the probability of Earth being hit by an asteroid would have 10 times more than now! So, Jupiter is very much helpful for the inner planets, including Earth. Jupiter is also a very stable planet. But in other star systems, Jupiter-like gas giants are very much unstable and it could cause the disruption of other nearby planets orbits. So Jupiter is a very much important planet in our Solar System. But, Jupiter holds many secrets that we don't know and many scientists have been searching for the secrets beneath Jupiter for centuries. Now, Juno space probe was finally able to solve many riddles and found many new interesting things about Jupiter. Watch this video to know more.
