Not all the Sega games, unfortunately. Just the Genesis titles. Those were developed by BlueSky Software. The Sega CD, Game Gear, and arcade versions were developed in-house by Sega and they'd have to get involved in the project for those games to be included.

Only thing I ever enjoyed about the SNES version(which was just an enhanced version of the NES game) was the FP perspective parts in the buildings,…everything else was a pain 😂 Genesis games were better

Problem with it is that there’s no saving in that game which is not acceptable. At least with this collection you can die to rest mode.

I’m hoping for a Collection 2 with the PS1 games Lost World and Warpath. As well as the original arcade game and the Lost World one as well. Maybe even throw in Lost World on the Gameboy. If they can put House of the Dead on the Switch, they shouldn’t have an issue porting other rail shooters like the JP arcade games.

I only had about half a dozen SNES games growing up, and Jurassic Park and The Chaos Continues were two of them. The first game was only difficult because it lacked saves; you had to marathon the entire thing. I have the Raptor Rap, Elevator, and Ocean music forever burned into my memory. The Dolby Surround Sound feature was incredible. I used the SNES mouse a few times as well. The second one was pretty fun, particularly the T-Rex Carnage mission. I used to intentionally hang on the vine at the end of the level instead of finishing it. The T-Rex kept roaring at Grant, moving slightly forward each time. Eventually, the game would glitch and the T-Rex's sprite would fall off the stage. I also rented the Genesis version at Blockbuster whenever I'd stay at my grandma's house. Good times.

Chaos Continues is a very good game... it's just CRIMINALLY difficult to the point of being malicious. I have beaten almost all of the SNES games I've ever played... and Chaos Continues is one of the very I could just never crack. I've spiked my controller into the floor so many times playing it lol

I have literally never watched a Jurassic Park movie in my life. Somehow. And yet, I have an urge to play this. I always did enjoy retro game adaptations like these, but most of them have never been re-released. Looks like a rare win for game preservation! (also that Genesis music hits hard)

I’m surprised they haven’t made a big budget, modern, Far Cry-like survival/action/horror JP game set on one of the islands.. It feels like a given. I’ve been dying for one but they just keep pumping out theme park maker games.. Imagine a JP game similar to what they’re doing for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora..

I downloaded this classic game compilation from Nintendo eShop (Europe because I live in Ireland 🇮🇪) yesterday (26-01-2024). I played them all and they look very good. All Jurassic Park games were published by Ocean Software, a defunct British video game company except the two Mega Drive versions which were published by Sega. Anyway I always love retro video games like from the 1990s and the 1980s as well.

A ton of people mentioned that the switch doesn't have a virtual console, considering the fact we have gotten a bunch of retro collection games and a bunch of GameCube games remastered from Nintendo along with Wii ports/ remakes, I would say those games are pretty much the virtual console titles we would get. (Including the arcade archives)

3DO was 32-bit, this is a collection of 16-bit and 8-bit games, if you include 32-bit games you’re opening yourself up to a whole bunch of “why not this game too”

@@stevendorries Because those other games weren't based on the first movie. The games that were chosen for this collection were the ones specifically made as tie-ins to the first movie, and not any of the sequels. That's why none of the games based on The Lost World: Jurassic Park or Jurassic Park III were in this compilation. The only reason why the Game Gear, Sega CD, and 3DO games weren't included was because Limited Run couldn't get the rights to them.

I had no hope of it since it's a PC game, but Chaos Island was one of my favorite games growing up and I wish it was in this. Again, a PC game that's not available anywhere on PC that I've been able to find over the years, so no chance it would be in this. But still disappointed there wasn't a miracle. 😂

My dad got a Jurassic Park game decades ago, he either had it on one floppy or a number of floppies but the game file was corrupt and so whenever you would get one kid the other would vanish and you couldn’t complete the first stage of the game

I have never played these games at all, nor have I had any interest in these games, at least prior to this announcement. Admittedly, I have been listening to the Dark Jungle track from JP2: The Chaos Continues because I found it unnaturally groovy for a Super NES game. I let out an audible sound of shock when I heard that track in this video, because this morning I was listening to it. Never thought they would rerelease a sequel to a movie that isn't the actual canon sequel. I may consider purchasing this collection.

I remember watching my Uncle watch the Snes Version of Jurassic Park and myself playing the Mega Drive Version of it. Talk about a Blast from the Past.
