@@RainbowWolf2023 You don't understand. Blue was being territorial. And in a way, so was Owen. They did it to protect their young, regardless if they're a threat or not. It's like the Black Bear scenario. When you see Black Bear cubs, *Stay away from them.* You'll never know if their mother is close by. And if you do, their mother is in automatic aggressive mode, therefore could kill you before you know it. Same applies here.

Animals also can actually understand our words. They speak just like us but in their own language. Owen gives out body language as that is a great way to tell a animal yes or no. Along with speaking to her. If Owen wasn't around, that girl most certainly would've been attacked by causing Blue's hunting instincts to trigger.

I love how Owen despite raising Blue since she was a baby realizes she would turn on him in a second as she is a wild animal. Owen Grady is no Timothy Treadwell.

One thing I love about this trilogy is how we're always reminded that a raptor, no matter how "friendly" it may appear to be, is still a vicious predator that you absolutely must respect. The other thing I love is how Chris will always be Blue's Alpha.

I think it's heartwarming that Blue built her nest near Owen's place. Shows that even though she is a wild raptor, she still cares and respect Owen as her father. I hope we see them (Beta as well) again in the future movies.

To a extent she does. I think it's a alpha thing, but also that imprint which he's like a parental figure to her. So I agree but I think it'd more he'll always be apart of blues pack. Him keeping that promise to bring beta back to her it cemented their bond and won't ever go away

I think Blue made her nest near Owen and the family because she considers Owen at the very least a part of her pack...possibly the others too as she was watching them. Now that Owen kept his promise and brought her baby back she's gonna be loyal for life and will never harm him and will protect him. Anyone else have any thoughts on that?

I pretty much agree! Plus it would be cool of the characters of Allan, Ian, and Ellie to come over and check up on Maisie, Owen, and Claire, and, in doing so, get to meet Blue. They can observe the first velociraptor that wouldn't tear them to shreds!

@Frakenballz I mean, yeah, Blue might try to attack them since she would be unfamiliar with such strange humans, but Owen would definately calm her and she would probrably let Alan and the others get a closer look at her as long as she didn't feel like she or her baby, Beta, were not being threatened by what they were doing.

Yep. Owen and Blue have a real rocky relationship with each other, but the moment Owen returns Beta to Blue is where Owen truly earns his Alpha title.

I think the only person whose ever safe from her is Owen, when he tells her no, he's the only one she listens to. And she would probably never touch Maisie because she understands that Maisie is Owen's Beta.

I like the fact that after all they've gone through, they didn't turn Blue into the pet dog of the Owen family (I was scared they'd do that and it will suck). Blue is a Velociraptor, a vicious bread of dinosaurs, and she'd turn on anyone in an instant. Heck, Owen brought her up and the best he can do at times is keep himself from being eaten. Blue shows that she doesn't trust humans and that her not killing Owen is a sort of mercy because of the years they shared, a favor that can be withdrawn the moment she feels threatened. T

Not killing Owen is not ''mercy'' she clearly cares about him, remember in the first two movies she was always there to protect him and save him whenever he was having a face off with the dinosaur villain of the story, she didn't have any reason to go and insert herself in a fight with such a vicious and a much bigger opponent but she did it every time because of him. They also showed us those documented clips from when she was little and he was doing the ''vulnerable'' experiment, she was genuinely concerned about his well-being. Also she would never hurt-hurt him, when they took her baby it was pretty clear that she went to him for help not to hurt him because if she had gone with that in mind then Owen would've immediately been ripped to shreds.. her scratching him was to express her distress, she would've done a lot more than that if she felt threatened. And no it sucked that she didn't stay with him - we had to endure all that emotional turmoil of the previous two movies, only to watch them going their separate ways again 🙄 if they do decide to make a fourth one, they better reunite them for good this time!

@@kassiagilmore6697 Blue learned to parent from Owen and considers him pack, but they both respect that they're Alphas. She can't take what's his, and he can't take what's hers. That's how alpha predators live together in close proximity. It's easier when there's a family connection, but harmony is only maintained by respect of who owns what.

@jisookomblackpinkkru256 - You have a good point there about Blue asking for Owen's help but I think Blue also was giving Owen a warning and a chance to get her baby back. Because if Owen came back empty handed, I think Blue wouldn't attack still but giving a death stare of if they meet again. However, the promise was fulfilled so he gained back her respect. Owen clearly knows a lot about his Raptors. I would imagine a actual Raptor pack is similar, as shown from Jurassic Park 3, except difference is that they not only know each other but with perfect communication to their eggs back. Blue and Owen's pack order seems to be of learning from both sides, Blue learning from Owen and Owen learning from her. Like a whistle means 'attack' the hand thing means 'stand your ground' and body language head shaking of 'yes or no'. Though you make great points. Its as Owen said, its a relationship and of a pack order.

She's doing what's known as a Momma Bear response. She knows Maisie's Owen's "baby", but Maisie is, in animal terms, sub-adult. Not really in need of a parents' protection in Blue's mind, but because she's still "in the nest" that means the parent (Owen) can't be too far behind. Still to Blue Beta could be in danger because of Maisie is older and ready to dominate or kill just to establish dominance. Remember Blue grew up with Delta, who constantly tried to change the pecking order. So Blue does intimidation because that's what Owen did to keep Delta in line. As intelligent as Blue is, she's still an animal. She doesn't have human level intelligent to reason. Humans are a proven danger to her, even Owen.

Even though the raptors were smaller than say, the T.rex in the Jurassic Park film franchise, they were still just as intimidating.

Fun fact: at 2:46 the bridge in this scene is from the reservation I live on in British Columbia, in late 2021 there was a flood that knocked it down unfortunately, but everyday I'd take the school bus to school and see the whole film set and it was really cool, they also did filming in the town I went to school in, look up nooaitch indian band and Merritt, British Columbia it's honestly awesome!

I believe there's a reason Owen didn't bring blue along. Blue was angry her daughter was taken, and bringing said angry raptor along probably would've brought all kinds of trouble for Owen and Claire.

At first I thought it was impossible and was just bs but finding out monitor lizards can reproduce asexually and blue has dna of it was pretty interesting. She was trying to alleviate her guilt for her part in what happened to Jurrassic World, which is understandable. She was very much cold and indifferent to the dinosaurs, unlike Owen. She didn't see them as living creatures, just assets. After seeing the suffering of a dying Apatosaurus, she realized how heartless she was and that's why she wanted to save the dinosaurs from the volcano. She just wasn't ready for a romantic relationship until she did something to save those she once regarded so coldly.

Idk I think Blue was testing Maisie to see where she belongs in the pack. Blue has known Owen, Claire, and Maisie have been in the area and chose to settle down close to them. Probably cuz to an extent she still views Owen as part of her pack and wants to be close to someone she trusts but understands that he prefers to be alone with Claire and Maisie. Maisie is the newest member and the youngest. Blue knew Claire from the first movie so no need to establish where she fits in. The pecking order had to be established at some point but I think Maisie earned her points when she connected with Beta at the end of the movie

New members need to know the pecking order of things. As babies (as Maisie was in Blue's eyes in Fallen Kingdom), Maisie was at the bottom, but now that she's "sub-adult" (teenager) she could easily change the balance of the pack. Delta tried to do that several times, but Owen, as Alpha, had to "put her in her place." That's all that Blue's doing. Even if Maisie has a higher rank within Owen's pack, she must respect that she has no rank within Blue's and Blue will harm/kill her if she tried to take what's Blue's (aka Beta). Owen showing up and "dominating" Maisie (ordering her around) show that he's still the Alpha, but he respects that Blue is her own Alpha and won't take Beta away from her. But Maise is his and is willing to do what Blue would do to protect what's his. Respect is the key to a harmonious existence between Alphas in the same territory after all. "What's mine is mine, and what's yours is yours."

You have a good point there but what if Maisie showed her fear and ran for it in the house? I think Blue would see her as the very bottom of the pack. Maisie did say she was scared and fear can cause a attack.
