I quite liked the movie. Would've been so pissed if they killed the T-Rex. When Claire ( was that her name? ) was going to go get it I was like: "yes! yes! yes!" and when the I-Rex was about the deliver the final blow I was like: "Noooooo!" Then blue saved the day and I was like: "OMG FUCKING YES!" And when the mossosaur jumped up and took the I-Rex I was like:"Take that you bitch!" but yeah that fight really brought the inner kid out of me. PS: sorry about the childlike comment.

Animals also don't communicate in the same way that humans do. My Cat doesn't understand a word I'm saying to it. But it communicates with other cats even dogs with body language. I'd imagine the Raptors communicate with noise to attract their attention and communicate more fluently with body movement and pitches in noise.

I'd give it an 8/10. It carried me through the movie and I could suspend my disbelief. Plus they poke fun at the fact the dinosaurs aren't accurate to what science tells us since Wu says they were told to make them cool cause we know now that Raptors had feathers and the T-Rex w/Blue vs. I-Rex was AWESOME!!!! More teeth was dumb? It was stated multiple times in the movie about how all they have to do to please the crowed is new dinos with more teeth.Teeth in this sense was used as a term for the killing-level of the dino so to speak.The kid states "We need more teeth", the raptors were losing, she knows the park like the back of her hand. So she knows what has a great amount of teeth. A t-rex, that can turn the tide.The balls were not safe? when the balls got smashed by the tail of that stegosaurus of whatever it was, they were in a restricted zone that clearly stated that it contained dangerous animals. The gyro balls were clearly meant for the dinosaurs in the valley area, which the ride is located.Raptor are pack animals. They do communicate, a modern example would be a pack of wolves. There is actually some people who have entered these packs and lived with these wolves communicating with them using body language and various noises. Acting like a wolf and telling the others to back off from his share of the meat. The screen writers did there research when it came to pack tactics and how some humans have managed to become one of the pack.

Rewatching all these movie reviews years later and they’re still entertaining. I have the jursssic Park dvd collection and after seeing this again I’m going to rewatch Jurassic world! I loved the movie when I watched it in theaters and I’m obsessed with the original trilogy, I agree that lost world and three are not nearly as well made, but I’m a little biased because for one I grew up obsessed with dinosaurs and thought I was going to be a paleontologist at 5 years old. Secondly, I kind of enjoy bad movies, I don’t know why, I just love picking out what’s wrong with them or how they can be improved. I can also always seem to find the good in them. Much love guys , funny how two years later your videos still hold up

I really wish that they had more variations on the T-Rex's roar instead of repeating the some low toned one over, and over again. Even at the very end when she does the roar right before the credits roll, it still just sounds like "uuuuuhhhhhh".

3:43 Everyone seems alright with the explanation about how the dinosaur knew to pull out its implant: it remembered it from when it was put in. Here's a question: how does the dinosaur know that the implant should be removed in the first place? How does it know that the implant is a tracker that it needs to remove in order to stay hidden? You may say, "well, it just did it because it remembered and thought of it as an irritant" or something, but why didn't it ever try to rip it out prior to leaving the cage, unless it somehow KNEW that it was a tracking device that only needed to be ditched once the dinosaur was loose. In which case, again, how the hell would it know that?

I kind of like the scene towards the end when Blue runs off "Into the Sunset" as the group comes out of the building.

There were lots of great ideas in this one and the craftsmanship was excellent, but of course it was also riddled with inconsistencies and stupid movie cliches. In the end it became almost unbearably cheesy. The T-Rex wouldn't catch up to the woman; he joins forces with the velociraptor; he survives four or more bites to the neck from the indominus Rex, who shattered the glass orb with it's teeth before... And then they say goodbye and part ways. -_- It was enjoyable all in all, but it had a lot of stupid.

Why does every fucking Jurassic Park movie need kids in it? They served no purpose and I was rooting for the Dino's to eat them for the whole movie but we all know they won't kill off kids in a movie so we're stuck with them.

Joe, there's plenty of inter-species communication in the wild. For example, the Honeyguide (genus species: Indicator indicator) is a bird that leads large mammals (including humans) to beehives, so that the mammal breaks the hive open. The mammal gets the honey, the bird gets the wax and the grubs. There are also many prey species who pay attention to each others' warning calls. And of course, most species of animals communicate with their own species quite prolifically, so if the new dino is really that smart, there's no reason she couldn't start communicating with the raptors. She certainly would have heard the other animals' calls throughout her life in the park. Being "part raptor" need nothing to do with it. Your ignorance of animal behavior doesn't mean the movie got it all wrong. Also, aren't all the dinosaurs in the park female? Is it really that hard to say "she"?

In almost every movie with guns, NO ONE EVER RELOADS!!!!! The one time I saw was when Chris Pratt was loading his western gun. Every other gun had BOTTOMLESS CLIPS as usual. It pisses me off

one of the major things about each Jurassic Park movie was to get to know each character. i feel as if the babysitter was executed too soon. in the originals, we got to know most of the characters before they were eaten, crushed, poisoned, etc. what did we know about the babysitter? shes a babysitter working for her boss to take care of her nephews. that's it. heck, i don't even remember her name!

one thing that got me in the movie was that bloody hand on the window part. I pissed my pants and hes like IM COMIN IN>>> IM COMIN. BAHHHAHAHUA. and then he dies.

Negatives: it was an ok movie the one thing that completely took me out of the movie was the fact that Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard's character) OUT RAN A T-REX IN HEELS and was basically in high heels throughout the movie. 1) I hate the kids in this film they were annoying and took the focus away from the Chris Pratt 2) The military side plot was stupid, and Vincent D'Onofrio's character was a one dimensional villain. 3)The complete lack of security and emergency shelter for the civilians in the Island was dumb. 4) Are you telling me that the higher executives gave the scientists the green light to create a new dino hybrid without knowing what species is being spliced together? Mixed: 1) The CGI was a bit noticeable at times Positives: 1)The Dino brawl was great and exhilarating 2) Chris Pratt is a great charismatic lead I'm giving this movie a 5/10, ok but I will not watch again.

when the kids fell out of the little ball thing right before getting eaten, there was broken glass all over the ground, but then when they hit the ground, there was no glass anywhere to be found

The final fight scene is my absolute favorite. Blue coming out of fucking NOWHERE after getting tossed by the hybrid to save Rexy's ass. You could see Blue scratching and biting away at the hybrid and gets tossed off onto Rexy's back, literally stands up, rides her for a second or two, and jumps right back on. That was my favorite little bit of teamwork. But then in the end you can see them slowly backing this thing down the street towards the water tank and everybody saw it coming and the mosasaur comes out and cleans up. Loved this movie.

So yeah, I just saw this thing. I thought it was great. The film was everything I was hoping it would be. They made a movie that had both fun and entertaining. I liked the characters, the dinosaurs, the action, and the nostalgia. The movie was happy to pay respect and notice to the original film. Plus I just like how they did try and build up things that made some sense. I mean that fight at the end.....thank you universe for this gift. Original T-Rex and Blue (raptor) vs I-Rex. That's the kind of thing that reminds you that films can be both entertaining and just pure fun. I mean damn, that fight was great. Plus the ending....I completely didn't see them pulling that last ditch attack. That dinosaur ate well this movie . Shark, Assistant (wow that is a horrible way to die), and I-Rex. Good eating right there. Again that assistant's death. I mean damn, that just sucks. She gets snagged into the air, tossed a bit, drowned, and then eaten whole. I mean she's got to be alive as she's being digested....that is a horrible way to die. But it was so damn fun . I may be horrible for enjoying that death so much, but who cares. I did enjoy the focus on the raptors. To me it made sense. Owen spent a long time with these things. He was there through their entire lives and he also respected them and the danger. He wasn't making them roll over and play dead, he built up a bond there over time and it was only just enough to keep him alive. I did like that setup. Dinosaurs aren't just movie monsters, but animals. And I could get behind him just being able to get them to work with him. That he got through to them at the end was cheesy as heck, but I think some cheesy can work at times. The kids were good. I actually think they were a bit more likable than the kids in the first Jurassic Park movie honestly. A rocky relationship, but they kept each other alive out there. There was also just a lot of threats. Like the first one it was stupid people who were as big a danger. If that damn scientist had said what was part of the I-Rex from the start then a lot fewer lives would be lost. So yeah I liked this thing. I really wanted this to bring back Jurassic Park from just a series of pretty sorry films. This did it. Some people may not enjoy it, but I certainly did.

Yeah, the death of the assistant was terrible. Nauseatingly violent death for the poor woman with the thankless job, and the real villian dies in seconds. Hugely dissatisfying.

Just a little comment to Joe, The Trex is the same one from the 1st movie. You can tell because if you look closely it has scars on its neck from the raptors

Am I the only one thinking the Indominus Red being able to camouflage seems useless besides the one scene they use it in. Sure it could help the military but if they made it raptor size like they were planning it doesn't really matter as it could just hide.

once joe pointed out the family problems I was like "yes!! someone actually hated that other than me!" I literally groaned when the little kid says "mom and dad are getting a divorce..." out of nowhere. there was no need to show the story of the 2 kids, they weren't important to the story at all. at least in the other movies the children were always useful but here they're just useless. I thought he older ones obsession with girls was really stupid too, I mean I get it he's a teenager surrounded by beautiful girls and women but when you already have a girlfriend who you "care so much about" and is pretty dang cute to begin with it's just stupid to make your character like that. I actually thought the spliced dinosaur being part raptor was an interesting twist, and makes sense. but in terms of being realistic it's just idiotic. it's like yea lets make the smartest most coordinated and feared dinosaur 20X bigger and include a bunch of other lethal animals into it's DNA there's no way this can back fire especially when it shows that it's so blood thirsty it'll even kill it's own species. I also thought the dinosaur attack (the winged ones that aren't pterodactyls). was completely stupid, only one civilian is shown dying through that whole attack and even that was way too over the top. I thought there was going to be a bunch of people being lifted up and dropped to the their deaths which would make the situation even worse. in the end the original was way better than this I liked the little nods to the first movie inside this one but even the other 2 movies were better. there's no real focus and when it does focus it focuses on the wrong thing. there's no real character development except for Clair and the ending is just so awful. the dino battle was alright but it's like this hybrid was able to withstand thousands of rounds not only that but it survives being hit by a mini gun and rocket launcher and it's just taken out by a bunch of animals in the most ridiculous way, it was just like how the villain in tomorrow land dies.

Idiotic things you left out (that literally made me laugh). Starlord riding his Harley style motorcycle through a forest amongst Velociraptors like he was one of the "pack". The kid RANDOMLY announcing his parents are getting a divorce then crying. Character development was so poor my friends and I referred to the kids as Kid A and Kid B. The random dinosaur team ups. So T-Rex and Blue teamed up to fight Murdersaurous (Hybrid) then at the end Blue and Starlord having a magic moment. Blues triumphant return at the end to save T-Rex had me looking around the theater to verify I wasn't the only one blown away by the stupidity.

What I'm most impressed in the movie is how Claire can run through a forest, escape a genetically modified dinosaur and outrun a T-Rex in high heels. She is not human.

Right when the I-Rex was backed up by the edge of the tank, it gave a roar like "YOU WILL NEVER BEAT ME" and then the Alligator ate it. The alligator had 3 or 4 appearances in the movie, and most of them were pretty important.

Everyone in the theater laugh there at the end when when Blue came charging(slow mo) to the rescue. And has anyone made some fanimation with Blue and the T-Rex giving each other a bro-fist

Hey Joe, It turns out in the final scene with the t-rex roaring over its domain, you can see old scars amungst her old ones. These were because she was thr original T-rex. Those scars where from her fight with the raptors at the end of Jurassic Park. Just thought you'd be interested haha.

The new dinosaur getting eaten by the whale thing was so predictable just from the trailers. With the trailers you never knew there was a T Rex, because you only see the hybrid, raptors and the big whale fish. Obviously the raptors aren't going to kill it with Pratt because of how thick its hide is. So what does that leave with? The big fish, the whale fish is the biggest dinosaur in the park AND it's carnivorous. It was too predictable and the whale fish was pushed too hard in the trailers to just be a small show piece.

I mean, hey ... using Dinosaurs to win a war would not remotley be the most insane idea the US military has ever come up with. The second most prominent project for the war again Japan during WWII was actualy a specialy designed bomb wich dropped bats that were equiped with small Napalm detonators. The plan was for them to fly off and lay to rest in all the buildings in the city it was dropped over and since nearly all buildings in Japan at that time were made of wood, the effect was actualy devestating. They tested it in the US in a artificial Japanese city in the middle of the desert and the city was actualy completly destroyed and the weapon was actualy greenlighted for use in the war. They were to actualy be dropped above Japanese cities shortly before the first nuclear bomb was dropped. If THAT gets greenlight, military raptors are absolutley IN. :D

One thing I really liked was the scene where the CEO and the head genetic scientist were talking and the director/writers smartly used that scene to shoot down all the little Paleontologists crying about the Dino's not having feathers and little picky crap like that. The scientist said (summarized), "most of these dinosaurs are not their 100% genetic makeup. We've bridges gaps and added things and edited them with gene splicing, because you wanted bigger and scarier." Nice little touch. Made me happy they mentioned that, especially since shortly after the movie released, some Paleontologist was allegedly tearing the movie a new one with "facts" from his looking at bones. The dude obviously didn't watch the movie because that scene would make him go, "Oooohhhhhh... I get it now." This is fiction. Don't forget that.

Just to put this out there, Abrams or any MBT would be too big. If you're hunting a dino that is navigating closely packed trees, turning the turret would be impossible to track and kill it. A Bradley M3 would be better suited or even a British Fv107 Scimitar Mk2 CVRT. But with a Bradley you can carry rocket troops and TOW tubes that can deal with the dino.

I think many critics/fans will never be happy or satisfied with any Jurassic Park movie besides the original. Blinded by the magic and the effects. This Jurassic movie was better than all the sequels.

I really hated the first half of the movie. Pretty awful IMO. The second half was great. Especially the last 10 minutes. It was like they came up with some really cool ideas for the second half of the movie and came up with some filler for the first half later. My geek censors went on full alert when they released the T-Rex. Fucking awesome. Then the fight was really cool. I was like a 10 year old all over again. I didn't like that the water dinosaur ended the fight, tho. I wanted the T-Rex to win out right, but not a big deal. Anyways, very fucking cool movie overall and I recommend it.

I didn't really like how they handled the brutality of the babysitters death, seriously tbh. Too brutal.

raptors as military weapons was stupid, people getting bored of dinosaurs in such a short amount of time was stupid, the fact that a heavily armed helicopter wasnt enough to take out a indominus was stupid, the fact it communicated with the raptors was stupid, the fact there was no more information on the family dynamic of the two brothers was stupid, the fact that a mososaur finished the fight was incredibly stupid I really hated this movie and really see no redeeming features

To me it actually says a lot about the movie that even with all the massive great reviews its getting that you guys could shit on it so hard and still say go see it once.

Anyone else notice the giant electric cables by the giant water dino that sends out huge waves everytime it surfaces? The only reason the Dominus rex gets eaten by it is because the t Rex throws the dominus Rex at the pen and that breaks the cables. You can even see the cables sparking during that scene

One thing I didn't understand in the movie was the scene where the two boys were in the bubble vehicle thing and the aunt was trying to get in contact with them via cellphone but she can't get a strong signal.. Why do those bubble not have emergency radio's? so that staff can communicate with the people inside in case of an emergency? Are they mean't to just be stuck inside them if anything malfunctions with no way of calling for help? Seems like a giant oversight considering you can find emergency communications in any modern elevator these days. And this is just one small gripe I had with the movie but just really bugged me. So many inconsistencies in this film.

atleast get the facts right.. the name is prounonced I n d o m i n u s Rex - the genetic hybrid is a FEMALE, why they say SHE when refering to it through out the movie. Claire even remarks on that they made the name easy enough that even kids could be able to prounonce it. it IS the original T-rex from the first movie, which is also a FEMALE. the LITTLE KID is implied to be AUTISTIC, the whole movie pushes that without going into it, his remark about "more teeth" is the suggestion that makes Claire (the redhead) realise they need help from another dinosaur - with more teeth. can't help but to think that if you had payed attention to what was going on and what was said in the movie (so you'd get the references) - you'd actually enjoy it more.

Joe the T-Rex is the same from the first movie. By the end of the film, when he looks to the horizon from the roof of the building, you can see the bloody scars for the battle with the indominus PLUS the scars (not bloody) from the fight with the raptors at the end of JP.

Another stupid part was after the final fight the raptor turns to the t-rex and they sort of have this moment, like mutual respect or some shit, then the rex just waltzes off to do whatever.... how do you know dinosaurs can't communicate? There were hadrosaurs that could communicate with different pitch noises. And raptors could potentially hunt in packs. which could require some communication.

I don't see the gripe about the gyrospheres. They were built with armored glass to withstand 50 cal fire, and most of the dinosaurs in jurassic park were raised around them. The anklosauruses weren't accustomed to them, however, since they were in the restricted area, and thus not raised around the spheres.

dont you see how the kids in the bubbles is the same as the 2 cars in the 1st movie where the kids in the cars are going along the rails and then they have to turn it into a running car ,and the same car was in the garage scene in world as in the 1st,so how is this not just a updated movie ?

You liked that final dino battle at the end? I thought it was so ridiculous and cartoony. The whole part with Blue running in slow-mo with heroic music playing announcing he's about to save the day was so dumb. And then the whole t-rex x raptor tag teaming the i-rex with the raptor riding on the t-rex's back and jumping back between the two rex's to attack and retreat was just soo cartoonish. Not to mention you could see how they were gonna finish off the I-rex from a mile away when it is knocked the edge of the water tank and then the movie pulls a deep blue sea Samuel L Jackson that we all saw coming and the FINALLY after its dragged under the t-rex and raptor look at each other as to say "Thank you my son we did it" -__- smh
