When I hear Joshua singing this it make me think, deep down I would think this is really what we all want, to walk closer with Our Blessed Lord Jesus, but sometimes things happen in life and we think our Blessed Lord seems to be distant or has moved away from us but it's then we should ask ourselves `who has moved` and if we're truthful with ourselves it doesn't take much working out, yeh there's more to life than you and me.

Beautiful! I am weak, but Thou art strong; Jesus, keep me from all wrong; I’ll be satisfied as long As I walk, let me walk close to Thee. Refrain: Just a closer walk with Thee, Grant it, Jesus, is my plea, Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be. Through this world of toil and snares, If I falter, Lord, who cares? Who with me my burden shares? None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee. When my feeble life is o’er, Time for me will be no more; Guide me gently, safely o’er To Thy kingdom shore, to Thy shore.

wally crail Sir, I think you are mistaken about Marci Gras being a festival to celebrate homosexuality. I do believe homosexuals celebrate during this festival as well as many many other groups. They may or may not be suffering because of it. The entire humane race is suffering during this pandemic. You and I would agree on many things, but the last time I read the scripture it said : “ Judge not, that ye be not judged”. (Matthew 7.1); Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Let us leave the judging to our Father in heaven. Believe me, He does not need our help in that area.
@JohnJones-sg6hu4 жыл бұрын
@wally crail I agree with your principals and doctrine and I also am old enough to remember a time when gay meant light hearted and carefree, not a sexual deviation. If you have a problem with the English language. Q Perhaps you should learn another one. The word does have dual meanings you know. The Mardi Gras is certainly not my cup of tea. Supposedly it came to be because the early Christian church adopted and reformed the Roman feast of Lupercalia in order to convert the pagans. At that point it was renamed "carnelevamen" meaning farewell to the flesh" and the French coined the name Mardi Gras and it was around a long time before becoming anything like it is today. Febuary of 1857 is one key date in Mardi Gras history, a LONG TIME before someone profaned a perfectly good English word by giving it another definition. My knowledge of the Festival is only enough to make me NOT want to attend it for many reasons, mostly because of the outward celebration of many sinful ways, but I do not think all people who attend are of that persuasion. That I am reasonably sure of. Being ignorant of actually having been there and seeing first hand all that happens and is celebrated, I am going to bow out of this conversation. May the good Lord protect us all from the sins of the world we live in.
@Crlpope4 жыл бұрын
@wally crail So true I fear the USA has reached the point of no return if we don't turn back to God repent and turn from our wicked ways.
