@PurpleDino1995 No I don't say it's real deathcore but with melodic death I rather think of: Quo Vadis, Amorphis, Gojira, Amon Amarth, compared with that TBDM still sounds rather different.

Awesome video! I love the new Inherit Disease (awesome shirt too), one of my favorites this year. I appreciate your calm collected video as a representative of us metalheads. Planetary Duality isn't a deathcore album, but The Faceless' previous album (Akadelma) is, which is where a lot of confusion arises with them.

That's strange cause it should. I explain in that vid that I did not listen to the songs and that someone asked me "what do you think of the deathcore band tbdm"..that is why I thought they were DC. Though it's still not really my band but to each his own.

I prefer Death, thrash, and black metal over Deathcore but I love despised Icon and JFAC genesis album. I also love the faceless. before you held up the last CD i was like "hmm would be cool if it was JFAC genesis...BAM! As far as deathcore goes i'd also suggest Through the eyes of the dead -skepsis. @slayermanbob Well a lot of people were completely insulted because I assumed TBDM were deathcore, but after listening to it, I still don't recognize real death metal in it. The music and vocals sound more deathcore to me indeed, no matter what even the band says. If mozart would say he made deathmetal it would not be so just because he said it.

hey ed, The Faceless make only one deathcore album(first album) . But album that you've got there(planetary duality) is a Technical/Progressive Death Metal and they're still a Technical/Progressive Death Metal band till now. :)

Mr. Infidel! I've been watching your videos recently, really enjoy them! I've been passionate about death metal since I was about 16 (Before that I was more into the more well known "mainstream" metal acts, Slipknot, Metallica, etc.) But, now that I'm 18 my tastes've matured into, well, the sort of stuff you're into. Might I recommend an album called "Oracles" from 2009 by a band called "Fleshgod Apocalypse"? Some excellent technical death metal, and also ask your opinion on old Cryptopsy? :D

Yup, a lot of people think their opinion is law, so when they think something sucks..it sucks per definition. I do think tbdm do know what they're doing ( they don't have a large fan base for no reason ) but all together it's not my thing. A lot of people have a hard time to say respectably that they don't like something...;-) Cheers man!

@randyeffa oh and another question? what's ur muscial intrest overall. like i personally like all rock music, with a few exceptions. my top bands are number 1: Green Day - grew up with been my favorites forever 2: Saliva - kickass southern hard rock, like Lynard Skynard but a lil heavier 3: Slipknot - first metal band i listened to 4: A Day To Remember - im not a fan of hardcore/popcore stuff but ADTR is awesome and 5: a tie between The Rolling Stones and The Who bcuz theyre both amazing

Breakdowns are about feeling, when I hear a breakdown it makes me feel heaps good, just trying to tell you why people listen to them. sometimes some breakdowns get boring, but I really like reallllyyy slow breakdowns but yeah :) I also like death metal bands to so yeah :)

No I dislike certain high vocals. I am a big fan of Dark funeral for example, and Immortal. I am also a big fan of thrash, but the high vocals nowadays often sound like guys who got a kick in the nutts.

@themthrashinkids Well to be honest you can't compare JD to a good Scotch. I completely go for the Scottish whisky ( without the E , whiskey ). Sometimes a Japanese or Irish but I like a good 18 year old Talisker very much better than the best JD there is.

So here's my question..how much do those Cds cost each?..because here the disc shops sell them pretty high comparing the money I get per week

I am not saying you're wrong. If you love TBDM then good for you..just make sure you support them and get their stuff.

To me it only is a good thing to point out to others what kind of sound to expect. Black metal does not sound like deathmetal so forth and so forth. The problem is, is that people build entire rules and scenes around it so tight that it comes to discussions when talking about genres. Take behemoth, i've seen people say it's deathmetal, blackened death metal, black metal..and people go all out to defend their opinion. That is indeed pretty sad and a waste of time
