It was recorded for their best of album, In the Beginning, which was released December 22nd, 2021 to commemorate Miho's time with the band. Miho actually recorded this and Nameless Warrior right before she left.

Always praising HARUNA because...reasons, but got to give mad respect to ASAMI. All the ladies F'n crushed this, but ASAMI surprised me the most here. Her vocals and the harmonization with M^3 on the ending was amazing. She leveled-up too, and really did this justice. There's no doubt...the touch has been passed, and it's in good hands going forward. 🤘🐺🤘

That was freaking awesome!! Everyone of the band members absolutely killed their part. Just wow!!! The ending mix had the guitars just a wee bit too strong and you couldn't quite make out some of Haruna's awesome drum finish behind it, but otherwise this cover was perfect!! That should put the band on the map if nothing else did yet. The metal world needs to hear them play this song. I would love to see them do this live. This was recorded a while ago with Miho but they waited to release it now for some reason. It was an extremely limited release too and sold out within just a few weeks. I wish they would make this more available because it really showcases the entire band's talents.

Miyako & Midori on guitar... they abilities.. skill.. par with KK Downing & Glenn Tipton... Asami on vocal... of coz we cannot compare with Rob Halford vocal.. but consider with her background.. from R&B.. Soul.. Jazz singer and ex Ballerina... she's getting better and better.. They turned that old Priest classic into one of their own. They should include it in their live sets when they get back on tour. Asami's vocals are perfect for that tune, it's like a vocal workout for her. The obvious talents of Midori and Miyako shredding, along with Haruna's drumming and Miho's bass playing (that's if it is her here) are clearly audible. I love that they've put the Lovebites stamp on it.

They released a compilation album two weeks ago, with two exclusive tracks, Nameless Warrior and the Painkiller cover. Both were recorded by Miho before she left.

The essence of this song (Painkiller) is ROB HALFORD Screeching voice that gives utter high shrill piercing cry (usually terror of pain) that bring the song life in live performances. I do not know if it is rock or metal that you are most interested in. But, one interesting trivia IMHO is that it was Show-Ya that started the Japanese all female rock band wave in Japan. It was formed in 1981 and is still active, although the ladies are around 60 or so. And they still rock hard! Same members I think. But, to give you an example, here do they cover LOUDNESS in a show 2014. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sNFiqNWZvd7PdYk.html . There is so much good stuff with Show-Ya . The singer is very charismatic.

It's a bit misleading when people say it's on their new Best Of album. It isn't. It was recorded for that release, but was only available in the "ultimate" 6-disc package that you could buy for a limited time direct from the record company. It's not available on any other version of the album so you can't buy that song any more, as things stand.

It's pretty damn great. Now I still prefer the original, but Rob Halford's voice is just too iconic. But Asami does a good job still. And it is of course amazingly well-done instrumentally.

Hmmm. I enjoyed it, but I felt Asami's range was a bit challenged at the highest points a few times. Not really a knock, Halford is the "Metal God" for a reason. Do feel her range is more suited to match Dickinson and Maiden though than Halford, though. Instrumentally, of course, 10/10. Vocally, maybe 8.5/9 out of 10? Mostly great aside from maybe 3-4 notes I felt were a reach. I'd probably rank it behind the original and Death's cover, but only slightly.

They don't do a lot of covers--just two so far that they've published, plus one tribute song (the Crusade)--but when they do it, they crush it.
