"Just Astonishing!" | Sadiq Khan 'Betrays' Londoners As Over 1,000 Staff On 100K Salaries Or Higher

Sadiq Khan was accused of betraying London taxpayers after figures revealed City Hall employs 1,100 people on a salary of £100,000 or above.
City Hall and its subsidiaries, including Transport for London (TfL) and the Metropolitan Police, are funded through the mayoral precept, which has risen from an average of £276 in 2016-17 to £471 next year.
Meanwhile the number of six-figure earners is up from 655 in 2018-19 to 1,146 last year, with 772 of them working for TfL alone. The transport body also had 18 employees on over £250,000.
TalkTV's Ian Collins is joined by Conservative London Assembly member Andrew Boff who says Londoners are being forced to pay 70% more council tax than in 2016, with little to show for it.

Genghis must go. Last night the District and central lines were just shut down in the centre of London. Yes. The Major East West services along the River connecting The West End (shops, restaurants , hotels), Central Westminster (Tourism), The City and East End were just casually turned off and stations closed. In one of the world's top three important cities. FFS. And TFL manages earn 6 figures... This is where we are now. 3W state.

I worked at a tfl office and all staff basic salary started at £55,000 and went up rapidly , that's not including the £2000+ free travel and an unbelievable amount of 'perks/discounts' they get as tfl staff That's was 9yrs ago so it may have gone up ........ How nice of us Taxpayers
