I think the price is a dealbreaker, regardless of the ability to easily service the movement. I’d likely opt for a Tudor or maybe even a newer Oris using their new movements. Couple of preowned Cartier watches may get the nod too (e.g. a roadster with roulette dial). Thanks for introducing these though nonetheless.

I'm so glad you made this video! I'm a big fan of Fears; mostly because of the story of Nicholas reviving the brand, but also because of their watches. I certainly plan to own one some day...This white one is definitely a looker, and seeing this video just confirmed what I thought from the IG pics yesterday. Cheers Fears!

Love the small branding, white face, markers in 3 different styles, the contrast of hands against the dial, the "shadow" the markers have, and the perfect size. What i hate: $4k? only 25 made of each? I cant take or leave the lume. Not sure why anyone thinks "exclusivity" is worth the extreme price.

Not gonna lie, $3900 for an ETA is a tough pill to swallow. Decent looking watch but I have way too many better options at around $4000 like Breitling or Tudor. And while at around that price range we know the movement in the Breitling will essentially be a modified ETA (B17), we also know we're getting a highly modified eta at chronometer specs with some serious heritage. I dunno, tough sell this one!

It doesn't just look a bit like a Panerai. This is a straight up carbon copy of the PAM718. Given that it's possible to get a 42mm Radiomir like a 512 with an "in-house" movement (a slightly reworked Piaget ultrathin caliber) for not much more money, I'm having a hard time seeing the appeal of this Fears.

Fantastic looking watch, especially in the white, here. Balanced review, but put me in the price-is-acceptable column, especially for the special design. ETAs are fantastic, and just because they’re customer movements, we shouldn’t discount them (too much). You’ve consistently praised them, even seeking one out for your PAM 111. If it was marketed as an in-house Omega, nobody would bat an eye (well, maybe somebody would, it _is_ the internet). We need more acceptance, nay praise, for a quality, accurate, easy to maintain piece of machinery!

Good looking watch and Fears is a company full of good people. The blue segments on the railroad track are gimmicky, all white would be better IMO and $3900 is on the pricey side. Yes, there is a lot more manual working on components in Fears watches than, say, Tissot, but one must be a true Fears enthusiast to spend Tudor money on an piece which won’t be easy to resell if you get tired of it.

Good looking watch...but an eye-watering price for a watch from a company i've never heard of. $1000-$1500 is probably around the right price, and other microbrands making equally interesting and attractive watches (if not more so) and doing it for that price and in some cases less. Compare this with what you can get from the current Longines lineup for $4000 and there's no comparison.
