Hi Julian, thanks for your input. I’m unsure of the scenario you mention with 2200rpm, as this figure is below the minimum continuous operating RPM available to aircraft fitted with Hartzell propellers and is likely derived from a different propeller to the one fitted to the aircraft in the simulator. However, I can absolutely guarantee that with an MAP of almost 22 inches and the RPM set to 2500 an Arrow will easily achieve 130kts rather than the anaemic figure in the documentation you mention. My flying school’s checklists recommend a power setting of 21-22 inches and 2400 RPM to achieve a cruise of 120kts for CPL sorties and this is often more than required. Therefore I believe that the figures in the book have either been derived from a pre-production spec aircraft or one with a different propeller, or have been intentionally under-estimated to account for worn components (as light aircraft performance data often is). I do concur that the Just Flight Arrow is a little faster than the ‘average’ Arrow III, but I have flown enough different examples to know that cruise speeds can differ by as much as 20kts IAS depending on various factors including the health of the engine, condition of the prop and any small aerodynamic or system modifications (such as fitting flat head rivets to the skin or removing the gyro vacuum pump and fitting EFIS systems, freeing the engine of the horsepower-sapping pump). I actually have some pictures of hitting 150kts IAS in level flight in an Arrow II which just had a new propeller fitted! Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed the video, be sure to stay tuned for more 😊

Thank you for taking the time to respond. You are correct, the POH that I found seems to be a different variant of the one in-game -two blades propeller, not three as stated in the JustFlight manual. Unfortunately my google search was not successful in finding the correct POH with a three blades propeller 😞 Would you be so kind in guiding me on how to get hold of the correct POH? Do you give online flying lessons?

There should be some relevant performance docs included in the root files of the aircraft if you sift around in your community folder - I’d imagine they’re correct for this spec of Arrow Failing that, join our discord and I can post what I have from our school’s aircraft.

I’m sure Just Flight would appreciate that kind of feedback! I’m not lucky enough to own any VR kit so I can’t test those kind of things.

I believe every MSFS aircraft exhibits fairly realistic characteristics in the sideslip. I’ve not tested whether it’s perfectly accurate compared to the real aircraft, but it certainly behaves appropriately.

The Arrow is a bit more complex if you’re into that kind of thing.

It taxis really nicely but it does seem a bit sensitive on the runway. I don’t have particularly good pedals though so that doesn’t help. I have a default ‘light GA single’ profile with some tweaked sensitivity curves for my yoke. Helps to keep things feeling suitably weighty.

I usually just mess about with the sensitivity curves until it ‘feels’ about right! Not the most scientific process 😂

I think that's not just a problem with this aircraft, I've had it with others lately. Probably something needs changing on the sim with the next update.

Yep that’s the frustrating part of buying from the store, sadly.

Hopefully they get this sorted out quickly. It should become better, because MS changed the upload procedure. The developers should now (which means 'very soon') be able to upload updates/files themselves, and only an automated process will check them before publishing it in the marketplace. It takes around 6 weeks now, because ms employees have to upload all files manually after checking them, and there are many products in the marketplace by now.

Updates always take much longer to come out through the marketplace - it's something to do with Microsoft having to 'check' each individual change themselves. Annoying, but there's nothing add-on devs can do about it.

From the video it looks as if the aircraft are all diifficult to keep straight on takeoff and landing runs. If that’s true it would mean that JF hasn’t applied the ground handling parameters that were intrduced in sim update 10.

@@andyw248 who has? I’ve seen no ground handling improvements to any aircraft that would suggest implementation of those four new parameters, either that or those parameters simply don’t make a noticeable improvement to the awful ground physics in this sim.

The JPLogistics 152 or the SWS RV14 feel perfectly fine on the ground. The updated JF Pipers are also fine imo. I had similar a similar impression to you but watched the video again and they seem fine to me. Probably some rusty simming skills ;) the crosswind and maybe not paying enough attention caused that little wobble

I, also, bought the Arrow through the Market Place, big mistake,never again! I have been waiting for the update to drop, but so far no such luck. One thing I don't understand... Why does Msoft/Asobo only drop updates once a week? Why not more frequently?
