What a talent Gloucester Rugby have on their hands here. The 20-year-old who has represented England at age-grade level and Gloucester at openside is truly one to watch. He really has the making of a future international.
Can he push Sam Underhill and Tom Curry soon?

It's funny not that long ago flanker was probabley Englands weakest position, now we seem to have some genuine class at 6 and 7!.

@Scott James Johnson Scott he seems like a good athlete who has good players on his side. That make him look good when they create overlaps by playing a 1 3 3 1 forward pod set up. Who can slap some small guys when taking the ball up. When he played against the best flankers he was anonymous. I would be surprised if he becomes near world class

@@nuirueu Yes my friend if my name wasn't obvious enough. Tom is good you can't call Ben near in contention for a starting spot. Wilson is carried by tom curry being good in the 6 nations and willis seems decent in defence. Underhill is decent but hasnt had enough game time to say he is good and even if he becomes good it wastes either curry or him. I wouldn't say your problems are solved in that area.

Was great to see him starting for Exeter Chiefs yesterday. He has made coaches and players past and present from Ledbury Rugby Football Club proud. So good to see grass-roots Rugby working. Will Butler (Worcester Warriors) is another ex LRFC youth player to now be playing the Professional game.

Aaron Thompson Tom Curry is an excellent 7 for saying how old he is, the potential to be greater is amazing and to say anything else is pure stupidity, either way we are truly blessed with excellent young back rowers that’s for sure

@@Danimal13 Heres the thing with curries they are tad too slow to be good opensides on tge levels of warburton , pocock and hooper but are the best england have for now . Hinkley has athelticism that the currys and underhill just do not possess and over time as he bulks up and improves his skills around the break down he will leave the curry's in the dust. He offers a good attacking option that rounds out his game way more

@@johnpender2428 Hinkley is more in the mold of micheal hooper being an excellent tackler and providing a really good attacking option in the forwards . So IMO he is definetly going to overtake the curries in a couple years if he keeps on developing

From a NZ fan ... Great to see England produce more and more classy ball playing back rowers who are fast, very mobile, effective on D and attack and exciting to watch (Not at all implying that Dallalio, Haskell, Robshaw, Tom Wood weren’t effective ... they were but just boring)

I would say from what I've seen of him that he is better than Underhill was at his age, and at least as good as both Curry boys at the same age.. Give him another year and there is going to be some serious issues selecting England back rows.. Underhill, Both Curry boys, Hinkley, Dombrandt, Hill, Sam Simmonds, Ludlum.. That's without the likes of Kvesic, Billy V, Wilson etc who look like grandparents compared to these lads.. England haven't had a truly definitive openside for years to properly balance the back row, now we have top class young back rows sprouting like blades of grass, at least 4 of which are natural 7's..

If this lad wants to be playing for England at some point in his career he's better start tooling up at centre because at 99kg he's got no chance in the back row. Curry, Underhill, Ludlam, Hill, Jack Willis, Tom Willis, Earls, Simmonds, Dombrandt, Mercer, Barbeary, Jack Clement, all set to duke it out over the next 10 years, they're all mobile, and their all bigger than him.

He’s playing u20s mostly in the clips ....seniors is a different game and underhill ,curry and ted hill are miles ahead of this guy....I remember Ben Morgan being lauded as the best English number 8 prospect in decades 😂😂🤣🤣😂

Reckon he's still as good as Vunipola if he was giving a chance. Got unfairly binned despite destroying Australia and that leg break didn't give him any luck either. Should have been 8 over Hughes anyway. Dombrandt, however, is the future 8 for England to really challenge Vunipola I think nowadays.
