Maybe I can help. I wanted to start about 8 months ago. Demand depends on where you live. I went to a locksmith school with good reviews and was accredited after becoming interested and slowly I’ve been acquiring the tools to start the job. It’s expensive to be honest. Just to get off the ground with basic knowledge you are looking at spending around 10k. This type of work definitely takes time to master and become proficient. However it does pay well and I personally love the work. If I was you. Find a locksmith school nearby that has good reviews and is accredited. Then start saving to invest in all of the tools and equipment you will need. Best of luck! Also. Don’t be impatient and purchase tools like crazy because sometimes less is more.

Another thing I wanna add. Depending on where you live it can be pretty difficult to get a locksmith license as far as background checks and such. So do your research with whatever province or county you are in on the requirements. For example I started trying to get my county license 2 months ago and it’s a ton of paperwork plus they move really slow. Last thing I wanted to add.
