Daggers were commonly carried by everyone in Medieval Europe, from the armored knight to the ragged traveler. Men at arms were trained in the use of not only their polearms and swords, but how to use their daggers when not armed this their longer weapons. Our class of fencers periodically train in the use of the Rondel dagger with their traditional sword lessons. It's a very different, more visceral kind of fighting, but fun nonetheless. This is a short highlights real of one of our classes.
