Ask about transport . What they think of unruly Bus driving. White colour Busses are the biggest nuisance in Srilanka roads becasue those bus drivers have no education. They think they are carrying cattle inside the bus. Red busses are Government.

Main differences between Srilanka and other countries is Sri lanka levies huge tax on food. Other countries do not tax food. In the Middle east, Maldives, food is cheaper than Sri lanka. Srilankan rulers encourage people to migrate.

The vast majority of countries impose taxes on food. The middle east happens to be an exception.

@@englishforsrilanka2535 May be . I have lived in Qatar, Maldives , Seychelles In all these countries salaries are 3 times or more than Sri Lanka salaries. But food is cheaper than Sti Lanka. But clothes are very expensive. Computers, phones are cheaper than Sri lanka. Those Governments do not hit the stomach of its people. They care for the people. Our political buggers eat well but do not allow the people to eat. No policy. Greed for commissions. That's all.

U can visit south India u can see variety of different foods temples heritage and culture especially Kerala and Tamil Nadu it's amazing Kerala, munnar, kochi, wayanad, Ooty, coimbatore, manglore, Gokarna, Coorg, Bangalore, Mysore, Alleppey, Udupi the world heritage site tanjavur bruhadeeshwara temple tamilnadu and palani temple tamilnadu here the god idol is made up of different types of ayurvedic medicines when we pour any liquid on idol it absorbs the medicinal properties and we drink the liquid we don't get any diseses

Yeah but tourists get graped in India and people crap everywhere. The food hygiene is diabolical in South India. I was there 2 years ago. NEVER AGAIN.

Not true. I'm a sri lankan and as a vegetarian i too have problems when eating out sometimes, actually one of the reasons why i don't eat street foods that much. They have dried maldive fish or eggs in everything. I would suggest her to go to vegetarian tamil restaurants.
