Thanks for your great video as always man. That intro was pretty funny. I used to have the stormbox, but sold it, and I now have the tribit soundmax, which in my opinion, sounded just a tad better. I might have to get the pro version. Thanks for telling us very clearly which speaker was playing at any given time. Since I'm blind, that really helps. Some videos when comparing things like speakers, or acoustic guitars, don't always tell audibly which item is playing at any given time. Thanks again. Your videos are super helpful when deciding which speaker to get. Tribbet is always a respected brand. I've got the smaller sound-surf speaker. That is small but powerful.

How does it compare to the trelab hdmax? I’m assuming the hdmax is louder and has more base but is it by a lot? I’m considering both of these I have a ue megaboom and want something louder with more bass. I like the that the storm box pro is smaller but both are at a similar price point the hdmax is $150 on Amazon rn.

OK. All I know for sure is Oluv was not impressed with the pro at all. He said it sounded like a UE speaker. "Hollow and echoey" were his words. He didn't do a direct comparison with the boom but compared it to the original stormbox (not as loud like this video confirms) and the xb33 and preferred them both. I think Alan has one ordered and is planning to review it at some point but I don't think he's particularly interested based on Oluv's review. It sounds like there are some issues with the tuning.

The Tribit Stormbox Pro may not have the low frequency extension and emphasis as others but its bass does sound clean and clear and musical compared to others. The bass is not overwhelming and fatiguing to the ears. The sound reproduction is balanced and pleasant to listen to for long periods, with the rest of the audio details of the mids and highs sounding distinct and detailed. Its sound quality is best appreciated when listening indoors.
