IJM Lawyer Willie Kimani, his client Josephat Mwendwa and their trusted driver Joseph Muiruri all left the Mavoko Law Courts as midday approached on the 23rd of June, 2016. These doors would be the last that Willie and Josephat walked through before they were kidnapped and murdered. Their fight for justice didn’t die with them.
This is the first part of the story of that fight, from beyond their graves. Part 2 will Premier tomorrow at 8PM.

Wonderful to see how you brought out Willy as the human being. Not just a name, a lawyer; he was a human being with hopes, dreams, likes, dislikes and all complexities.

I will never understand The Kenyan Main stream Media. They never bring such compelling stories,all they do is bring us politics 24/7 365 days a year. Hats off to the Africa Uncensored team for bringing us the truth 🫡🫡

If only BBC Africa Eye could pick interest in these stories, I'm sure the Kenyan police would be incriminated beyond any doubts. Those people at BBC Africa are really good with investigation

He has testified in open court numerous times. He wasn't just a witness, he was a suspect and was convicted alongside the other suspects.
