I think it's designed to suggest that the police trust them to help with the case, to give up the goods completely. In this case, it apparently worked and Patrick's secret has been revealed. Police don't like making Faustian deals either, but sometimes it's the only way to rap up a case.

She's the rough and tough sort of cookie and wouldn't stand for it. He'd have one hell of a fight on his hands with her, which is probably the reason she was able to become an ex without being a dead ex. Why she agreed to do this for him is a head scratcher. She's a material witness. Maybe he thought she really loved him and maybe at one time, she did.

This happened in the town where I grew up. When Krystal Kenney came up for parole I was so angry and started an online petition to stop her release. It went viral and we presented it to Dan May and the courts. We were successful in keeping her in prison for 6 more months. Kelsey's Mother is an angel on earth and I think of them often. Rest easy Kelsey..your family is doing good.

There was visible blood still at the crime scene and one look at Patrick's yard and his burn pile, they would find evidence. The ultimate statistic is that 10 out of every 10 people will die-you have an appointment to keep with death that you cannot cancel; where will you go after death; heaven or hell? innocent or guilty? what would it benefit a person if they gain a brand new car, a new relationship, a new phone, more money, a new house; and new clothes .....but in the end they ended up losing their own eternal soul? What do you think? Are you good enough to enter heaven? How many lies have you told before? Ever stolen? Ever lusted? Ever hated anyone? We have broken God's laws but Jesus has paid our fine!
