Nica was able to stand on her own against Chucky, and she’s actually given a bit of a character arc. It’s been a while since we’ve had a main character that wasn’t Chucky or Tiffany, so Nica feels like quite the breath of fresh air.

What I love most about this movie is that Nica is played by the daughter of Brad Dourif, Chucky's voice actor. Fiona Dourif is absolutely great in the role. Nica gets it pretty rough, but what kind of makes it easier to handle is how much the actress clearly loves this franchise

Without a doubt, this movie was a great comeback for the franchise, introducing us to a great final girl like Nica and bringing back iconic characters like Tiffany Valentine and Andy. I look forward to the next reactions of the saga. Greetings.

I FELT your excitement in the surprise ending scene with Andy. One of the things that I love most about this entire franchise is how many of the actors love it and are happy to return.

Nica is played by Brad Dourif’s (Chucky) daughter Fiona Dourif. And there’s a story that goes back to the original Child’s Play with her. During the scene where Chucky was lit ablaze, Brad had to record himself screaming in pain. On that day, he had actually brought Fiona to work. It was such a convincing act that Fiona started crying because she thought her father was actually in pain. Brad had to run out of the recording booth to reassure his daughter that he was fine.

You thought Nica has it bad here girl it’s only the beginning of this character continuously getting the short end of the stick. She’s such a great character and actress like her acting gets better and better every time she shows up. Also she’s the daughter of brad Douriff himself the man who voices chucky.

Don Mancini simply does what he wants with the character(s) that he created and I live for it. It's always a fun ride when Don is involved and loving his job/ journey with Chucky which makes the series a really fun one.

I LOVE your love for Andy so much because same!!! SAME!!!! I wish we also got more focus on Andy again because he really is a shining example of a long-surviving character in horror, and I find his story the most compelling too. There’s so much to dive into with him.

What I love the most about this franchise is they have the guts to make all of their storylines canon from the first Child's Play movie to the TV show. When there are some films in Halloween or Friday the 13th we can say skip that one because it's kind of irrelevant, Chucky series you need to watch all 7 films, no matter how ridiculous some might get and watch the TV show so everything can make sense. It's actually kind of brave and I love that.

"Curse of Chucky" is one of my favorite entries in this series. In addition to Andy and Tiffany, Nica is a great character and addition to the lore. I also loved that it was something different, more like a dark old haunted house movie than a straightforward slasher. Thanks to Don Mancini, the films keep reinventing themselves while still staying true to the characters and events that came before.

I really enjoyed this movie when it first came out. It's the movie we needed to put Chucky back on the map. I actually liked Jill and Ian, but their story was whatever to me. Nica has since remained my fave character (next to Andy, of course). I love how excited you got as it dawned on you who the man at the end was lmao

I really enjoyed this movie as it brought the series back to a more gothic horror vibe & less of a campy vibe that Seed had. I love when movies are able to have an entire story take place in one set piece (aka the house) & it happens again with Cult of Chucky. This also opens up for some great stories that will be established in the Series.

While not my favorite in the franchise, I think it tends to be decisive because it's the polar opposite of Bride/Seed, and people didn't know how to process the 180 in tone. Excited for Cult next! I just rewatched all your Chucky videos, and I was wondering when you were planning to start the series. It's so good. In my opinion, it does such a good job of using stuff from all seven movies, while being it's own thing.

Fun fact these next movies were all filmed in my home town, that house it's pretty cool! It so fun watching these movies and being like I know where that is and I've been there!

I think this was a great return to form after Bride and Seed (which was absymal) because it went back to the horror roots and less on comedy. Having Nica being played by Fiona Dourif, the daughter of Brad Dourif (who voices Chucky), was brilliant. It also took into account something commonly mentioned about the Child's Play movies, "Why can't people defend themselves/get away from Chucky when he's a doll?!", by having Nica in a wheelchair. (although as Chucky is a doll possessed via supernatural means I personally don't understand why people have such issues about his apparent speed or strength)

I will say that I do think this film is a bit flat now revisiting it, but I think its biggest strength without a doubt is bring the "horror" element back into the Chucky franchise after the more comedic "seed" film, there are some really well done sequences, and Chucky feels like a legit threat again. I think this film was a simple dip of the toes to help the creators find their grove again, which they definitely did. Cult is messy but fun and the TV show is a damn hoot! Also, fun fact, Nica is played by Brad Douriffs daughter, the real "seed" of Chucky!

This movie saved the franchise to be honest, after that disaster Seed lol. I don't know anyone who hates Curse, it gave us more backstory which ties into something bigger later on which I won't say but you'll see. Cult is fun, but I liked Curse since it brought Chucky back to that creepier element.

That last scene with Andy Barclay is my favorite part.

Chucky ruins lives. It's what he does. I liked this movie. Despite the unlikable characters, this is the first time in years when I felt I was watching Chucky in a legit scary movie again. All I will say about Cult of Chucky is that I think it's the most violent of the sequels.

So, I work with a guy who used to be an NY cop. He told me that it's completely normal/common for cops to take personal photos of crime scenes/bodies. Like...as trophies and such. So, I wouldn't put it past them selling items they take from crime scenes. Especially since it's well known that they take money and other stuff.
