Part 1 of a Justice League Rescore/Re-edit by A.B.Director.

As Batman volunteers to distract Steppenwolf's army of parademons, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman and the Flash prepare to face Steppenwolf in a final showdown that will determine the fate of the world. But will the team allow The Dark Knight to sacrifice himself to buy them time? Or will they "come together" and leave no one behind?
The first part of the final battle in Russia rescored with Junkie XL and Hans Zimmer's amazing scores from Batman v Superman and Man of Steel.
This is not only a "rescore" - this is very much a re-edit. Scenes are trimmed, re-arranged and deleted material is added.
I know I say this every time I make a new video, but this was by far the toughest and most elaborate rescore/re-edit I've done to date. Not just because of the music, but the editing itself - from color correcting, re-arranging of scenes and especially the sound mixing.

Quick Update: Part 2 is on the way. Since KZfaq is a hobby, I haven't had enough time to concentrate working on it, but the influx of deleted scenes leaked has amped up the opportunities on what to do with it. A.B.Director good to see you back, are you actually doing a full edit of the movie or is it just certain scenes, so far all of this is incredible, sure it’s not a Snyder cut but you can only do so much with whet you have available. Either way now Justice League feels like a proper installment in the DCEU that you could watch in a marathon without it standing out. There is musical continuity and most importantly deleted/alternate material expertly implemented. Thanks for all your hard work and btw I’m not sure if you’re aware but there has been done more leaked footage from vfx reels in perfect quality (the beginning of cyborgs vision and stepphenwolf killing Atlantians) that I’m sure you could use

Literally you changed all the feeling of the battle, you gave more emotion to the almost sacrifice of Batman, and adding Come Together was the best, every time your work improves more! I can not wait for what's next!

Every character arc in the original was deemed "too dark" for Warner. Cyborg's story with the flashbacks was entirely ditched, Aquaman's alcoholism was toned down to oblivion, Flash just became an autistic buffoon with lame Marvel jokes (brunch), and so was Batman's arc. We get a couple of glimpses of his guilt trip but we never actually realize how much of a death wish he has since BvS ...

I was so ready to nitpick the use of 'Come Together' on this scene as tacky, cringy, and lame, but..... it worked beautifully. subtle, instrumental solo piece used from the song, and it blended perfectly. Fantastic job A.B. Director!

Something that I just noticed after rewatching the movie and that video, at the very end when Batman shows an explosive batarang on a Parademon it looks like there's an artillery turret on the ridge; and it reminded me of a recently released concept art for JL where you could see Batman dropping parademons while helming a similar turret. Could it be that we could also have seen that, had Snyder's cut survived WB ?

i always felt that way too but it doesn't really make sense for him to be in the batcave during the beginning of the battle and then outside in the middle, and then back in the batcave towards the end of the battle

I agree that it doesn't make much sense. But since there's no other scenes I can work with, sometimes you just gotta go with what "feels" right vs. what makes logical sense. It makes sense that Alfred is working on the car while the League is en-route to Russia and Superman appears, but it doesn't "feel" right because that means Superman literally waited till the last possible second when the League were about to be defeated to show up when we know he can fly around the world in minutes (as seen in MOS when he goes halfway around the world to the Indian Ocean to battle the World Engine).

A.B.Director I agree with what you have done, I like to think that whilst in the batmobile, batman said to alfred, go and keep an eye out for superman.. that's why he was out there and decided to have a look at the car whilst he was waiting..hence the line ' he said you'd come' when is part 2 coming? That was great that you use from trailer like The Flash running, Aquaman jumps and throw the sword. Lastly. Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg vs Steppenwolf. Wonder Woman said "Shall we?" Instead of " Is this what concurring is? Hiding from a fight?" I've been for part 2. I am so excited to see the next part. Keep it up the good work, buddy.

I'm starting to forgive the oversaturated red now... (not respecting Whedon, just sayin'... ) specially with the contrast effect you gave it! And the addition of the 'Shall we?' and the Aquaman scene was the best.

The red itself isn’t too bad. When I saw it in the first trailer I thought it was very cool looking, very ominous. It’s that the final theatrical version turned it from a blood/cherry red to an orange. Which looked like shit because there were many other CG elements on screen that were also orange, along with other colors (and just the overall amount of CGI) that made it look like washed out vomit. I’m wondering if Snyder ever intended to use red, as we didn’t see it until the SDCC trailer, which was after he was fired and where Whedon stuff was already making it into the trailers. I don’t know enough about the CGI process to know if they later in a normal color sky first and then recolor it, though I’d imagine if you want a red sky, you just create it red from the start.

Peter P21 After Whedon came in, the color palette was made brighter. Snyder's final battle didn't even have purple growing tentacles. It was at plain midnight. There's a scene in one of the trailers when WW tackles the two parademons atop the Batmobile and it's at night, with fire making a nice contrast. This... is just TOO. MUCH. *RED.*

Those purple crystals are horrible. They look like rock candy. They also look like the CG wasn’t fully rendered (it looks like 1995 level CGI) so I’m guessing it was a late addition.

After seeing this, as well as your previous edits/rescores, I truly believe the A.B. Director Cut will be the most perfect version of the Justice League movie we got. I used to hope for a Snyder Cut but I'm starting to only hope for yours. These keep getting better and your work continues to bring justice to this film (pun intended). Dig the placement of extra scenes. We have seen so many versions now it is nice to take extreme cuts where some of those beloved trailer moments make an appearance. Interesting music choice when team shows up. Works if for no other reason the trailers carried us along with that tracks gung-ho. Nice. Dude sort a fan cut. You have a great feel for flow and what fans want to see.

btw, i know you prefer batman without saying "agh, son of a b*tch" but i think for me it's kinda funny y'know. because in bvs superman already broke his 2 doors, and when batman fixes one of em the parademon destroys it, and so it's kinda makes sense why he would said that in the movie. But overall it's perfect

also, I forgot to mention, that you could've replaced joss's batmobile's first appearance with the zack's batmobile' first appearance. Like, after the flying fox is coming down and batman set it to auto pilot, you could just put the flying fox crashing to the wall scene right after that scene 0:46 . and then you could use the scene where batman starts up the batmobile in the trailer and then put the scene where the batmobile gets out of the flying fox but the flying fox is already on the ground not while he is crashing down. that's my idea, but i alson enjoy yours too :D

*it is crashing down (the 0:46 scene is put after the flying fox is crashing down, so not like from 0:37 to 0:42 but 0: 37 to 0:40 and then the scene in 0:46 to 0:47 and then the scene in the trailer when batman starts up the batmobile and launched it from TFF)

Too short of a scene compared to the segment in the final cut, what you're suggesting is barely 1 sec and a half. Plus the difference is minimal honestly, having the Batmobile drop off the carrier while it hasn't crashed yet is just as good honestly !

OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING. CAN’T WAIT FOR PART 2! I really hope Superman’s return will be bombastic and epic like you did in your Superman VS Steppenwolf video. You’ve grabbed a particularly troubled section of the movie, that was missing scenes we had seen in the trailers, awful coloring, misplaced Batman music and I believe it didn’t even payoff with Wonder Woman’s smile, and you’ve made me care about what is going on and I can see some of the wonderful things Snyder had planned. Batman swinging onto the tower and knocking down the parademon actually looks and feels badass now. The Leaguers saving Batman feels exciting, feels like a great payoff. I love the Come Together song, my only criticism would be, is the song playing for too long? I can’t tell. I do love that it’s there, and the transition from Batman’s “Imma die here” music to the Come Together song is very well done. These scenes with the Batmobile were really bad in the original movie, but with your changes, the added missing bits, this feels really great. and a great followup to your previous “preparing for battle” edit. I wonder how you’ll pull off Part 2!

Whedon could've made Justice League better if WB weren't so stupid in giving the film a two-hour runtime. It would have probably been better if it was almost near three hours long. And also it would've been better if Whedon had Junkie XL do the score rather then the Elfman. This video is a perfect example of this.

Man, I know that You've been working with Heroic.Getaway to make the Ultimate Fan Cut. Even through It made some improvements, I still feel like we need YOUR, YOUR OWN, Cut of the Film with RECORES like this one. We need CUT with rescores that are always on point (Your use of ''Come Together'' is the Perfect example)... Can We expect something like that from you, one day?
