what i love about this game is that some of the (familiar) capcom characters had new designs. Ryu, ken, bison, evil ryu, akuma and shin akuma had all new character designs (in terms of graphics of course) but lots of other characters were just plain copy-paste from alpha 3. Vega,blanka,balrog,sakura,rolento etc. I would have loved to see new designs for every character.

The small green bar is the guard meter. You can only block so much before it gets broken... which is what you see at the end of the last round.

One of my all time favorites, a day 1 buy as a kid. If there cant be a 3rd installment at least give us a re-release with GGPO

oh yeah i forgot about the first game they were spectactular as well, especially bison's final boss stage and the alleyway with the huge shadows.

This is one game I have always wanted to play, but never did. CvS2 needs to be on PSN and XBL.

believe it or not but I meant 99 seconds -_-... it's just that half of the time you have to zone the character perfectly (since you're playing A-groove, and A-groove can guard-cancel your jump-ins and punish them). Cautious+allot of damage on super = very long fight

Completely agree with you. Capcom needs to treat it like the MvC2 and SF3 online releases. I'd be first in line to buy it. Then I wouldn't have to break out my PS2 copy. I have it on Dreamcast as well, but it won't boot up anymore, plus I want online play!

@poo3999 Dude he means the time is gay in that you have 33 seconds per character to fight (which is very little). Time-outs are pretty common in this game.

The only thin I wish is that there was a redraw for sprites on others characters. Like ok, Ryu, Ken, Akuma, M. Bison and a couple others were given new sprites for the CvS series. My biggest gripe is that everyone else didn't! Vega? Sagat? Blanka? Hell, even DAN got a new sprite, why not the other Capcom characters? I really wish Capcom hadn't gotten lazy.

A great show from Justin Wong. It's unfortunate that he missed the oppurtunity afforded by that last Guard Crush. I think he was going for Vega's flash kick move, and missed the timing a little.

Jwong is using haomaru and combofiend is using eagle. Theres a lot of room at the top tier depending on the groove's you choose. Especially compared to the... 4-5? team combinations you can have tourney viable in MvC2. CVS2 is a great game.

@Ryukotsu22 Strongly disagree with your assessment. High-level SF4 requires split second timing. If you don't have that, you don't win. Games like 3s and CvS2 allow different play styles to play to their strengths and strategize.

That last round was a little disapointing for me, the Eagle user deserved to lose...though I liked the way he played with Rock the most. I say this because Eagle is one of my favorite characters from SNK vs Capcom 2.
