As a formerly "healthy" person who worked out 5-6 times a week, was very strong, ate a really well-balanced diet... COVID knocked me off my feet and I haven't been able to work out again since getting it.

Great questions! I try to take everything (good and bad) as simply constructive criticism. And I have pretty thick skin so any of the nasty comments just roll off my back. I remind myself that people who write things like that must be pretty miserable and I'm just happy that I have a wonderful support system here at home. But overall social media is a hugeeee factor in my job. I hope that answers your question!

MadFits workouts were a HUGE part of what helped me lose 25 pounds and enjoy my workouts last year, but it has become really important to me to have well programmed workouts so that I’m making the best use of my time while at the same time getting the results I want (mostly to effectively and evenly work all my muscles so that I feel good and get stronger). So this year my goal is to create my own programming (I saw that video of yours as well). Anyway, your videos have been a major reminder of that for me….that programming matters. I still love MadFit and will occasionally do maybe her dance videos, but it’s time to try something new in 2022. Thanks again for all of your informative content! 😊

Omg the honesty in this. I love it. The Madfit portion is how I felt recently. I loved her workouts but when she changed up and started the app, as someone who is really working towards my relationship with food.. it was VERY hard to see. I had to delete it right away.

I feel like a meal plan would benefit someone like me. I have been overweight since I was a child. I feel lost when it comes to making healthy meals for me and my family. But I hear ya in the randoms writing meal plans lol

I would definitely recommend going through a registered dietitian. And even then, many don't provide meal plans because they're not sustainable. But it's something to look into if you really feel that's the best option for you!

On the "why doesn't the government push healthy living over the vaccine!!!" it's like... let's say you live VERY far away from any healthcare provider, the vaccine takes a total of four hours of your time. Losing weight takes weeks, months, or YEARS, depending on how much you have to lose to get to a healthy weight and be out of the elevated risk for that. How is that hard for people to comprehend? One is quick and easy and free, and the other is difficult and time consuming.

I like Bosu Balls for hipthrusts lollll because am so short and the benches never work and feels so uncomfortable for my back . Is that an overkill to use a piece of equipment as a support :P :P

I still like MadFit but only ~some~ of her videos here on KZfaq hehe specifically her dance party videos! Obsessed with her Evermore dance workout like it’s my favorite from her ☺️💛 And about the COVID-19 and healthy living, not everyone can afford to be healthy. As someone who lives in the Philippines, most people here are impoverished and are fighting everyday to even eat thrice a day while trying to maintain their job if it wasn’t lost already because of the pandemic. “Eat healthy blah blah blah” be grateful that we’re privileged to even afford it.

I'm in Canada and the government constantly promotes a healthy lifestyle (pre Covid) and it's ignored. I work in public health. It takes more than government sending information to create behavior changes. I hate that argument against vaccine promotion. Great vidéo !

I'm not sure. Maybe sending a sample first and then trying? But I think it all comes down to trusting the creator. Personally I have only accepted two sponsorships because I don't want to take advantage of my audience.

What kind of adjustable kettlebell do you use? I need to increase weight for DL and can only find weights up to 50 lbs (unles I spend $350 to go up to 80 lbs … yikes!). I need 60 lbs.

So funny story - I bought the Bowflex ones on Amazon but they turned out to be knock offs haha. But regardless most of them either go to 55 or to 90. So if you want 60 you're probably going to have to shell out $350 unfortunately. Sorry I'm not more help!

I work for myself, but every studio is different. I used to get paid per class. Not salaried. All independent contractor.

I totally missed the hate train for Blogilates when it started, so I'm a bit in the dark about where she went "wrong" so to speak. But, do you still find her workouts generally speaking safe? Adding weight onto the moves is obviously beneficial for gains. Or, just doing her workouts sparingly between other exercise styles?

If you go to her TikTok and Instagram, any video she posts with workouts are just...against functional anatomy. She's also posted some VERY questionable videos that she then deleted because they were RIDDLED with diet culture. She's also providing a meal plan for people right now with is 100% illegal in the states.

I have a question: can you really lift your breasts by doing chest exercises? Like nothing drastic, but my breasts and back are always the first areas to show weight loss and so my chest is slightly deflated looking after a slow 22lb loss this year. I'm not that self conscious about it, but I'm in my 30s and would like to slow their inevitable decent as long as possible.

Breasts are mostly made of fatty tissue, so the muscle underneath can only lift them to a certain point. So just like you said, nothing drastic. BUT training your chest has other wonderful functional purposes as well!

I would love to hear what they mean by core workouts. Because I don’t think you need to dedicate a whole day in your split to your core. But there are definitely exercises that everyone could benefit from.
