Wow - my favorite planes ✈️ the Queen of the Sky and even a Lufthansa with the old ‘yellow’ livery which is still my favorite. I never get tired looking at the 747’s whether they are still passenger planes or cargo. I really enjoyed this video...thanks for sharing.

Love this video. Of all the 747s KLM is my favorite. We have their 787-9 service now. I miss Big Blue. March of last year was the KLM 747's last time in Houston. Now we have the British Airways 744, and during the winter season, the Lufthansa 747-8i when it substitutes for the a380

As a young AA employee, I took the American 747 flight from PHX to ORD after watching it fly over ASU's campus every day while I was a student there, many years ago. I think I had the entire upper lounge to myself. The 747 has been my favorite aircraft ever since.

Fantastic video! I miss working out there at LAX. I thought Delta still had 47s, I guess not. That Cargolux looked like a old Cathay Pacific Cargo freighter and the Asiana looked like a combi

just flew on a klm 747 combi from LAX to AMS for holiday on 26 may. smoothest 10 hours of non stop flying ive had in forever. the landing at schipol was so butter i didnt even feel when we touched the ground. good pilots those klm guys and gals are.

8:24 in 2016 I flew on the aircraft HL7423 before it was a cargo aircraft. Cool to see the queen being repurposed.

You should've seen their DC-10s. The image of that crown livery lit up as her vertical stabilizer gracefully taxied on ramp is what set me on fire for aviation as a lad. It's forever burned into my mind.

I'll be flying the KLM Boeing 747 in September in KL602/KL601 on a trip to my home land :) It may the last time, as KLM is retiring those Boeing 747's in 2021....

The Quantas plane stays in the US for extended periods of time. Ferries Australian passengers between LA and NYC.

In theory, only one engine will fall out. But what would happen if, take it, a Dreamliner above the Great Puddle gets a malfunction on both engines? No, I don't mean as a result of fuel shortage, but breakdowns on both engines. And the coffin doesn't make it to the mainland, so air disaster. That means that the ETOPS-180 certificate is all you need and it's 'Engines Turning Or People Swimming'. Would the B747 and the A380 experience a revival? And that aircraft with 4 efficient engines are being developed again?

Qantas stopped flying 747's to/from LAX...They use 787's and A380's...The LAX-JFK-LAX aircraft has been a 787-9 for quite some time.

4:45 is it correct for the small plane to take off when the Qantas is landing ?

The space between parallel runway is so big, its not what it seems from this angle. And the 747 already on idle by 30, 40fts. Turbulence only happens right behind it.

Yes, and it’s also normal procedure to take off at the same time or land on parallel runways. All airports do this normally. Some even use cross runway landings and takeoffs
