Screw top gallon jars like bulk condiments come in are great for keeping critters out of your dry foods, and should be handy for your gray water situation, and you can usually get them free from friends in a restaurant kitchen. You’d be surprised how many ziplocks of rice, cereal, pancake mix, etc fit in one.

A Frying Pan CAN be used as an oven. In my area, the temperature has been in the high 90's up to 100 degrees with the Humidity 😰😰😰! I will NOT use the Oven in my home, even with air conditioning - too HOT. I have reheated almost everything in a Frying Pan on top of the Stove, INCLUDING leftover Pizza. Parchment Paper is a Godsend, as you may already know. I tightly wrap whatever I need to reheat, put it in the pan on LOW & covered. Everything comes out PERFECT!!!

I was an ICU trauma RN for years, several at an ICU,ER at a Children’s hospital. Some shifts broke my heart over and over again. Death and children just feel like why? One shift 3 kids died in my 12 hr shift. Now I am long retired and I still try and find meaning but that has been impossible. I have ptsd from all the trauma. I have a van I travel in with my dog. I follow the sunshine as much as possible, look for beautiful landscapes and wildlife. Look for joy. That is the best anyone can do.

Tears are falling. At age 60 I’ve had so many losses. I loved your reminder we may never know why we lose loved ones so suddenly. I can’t imagine how much you hurt and how painful and devastating losing your sweet baby. But it hasn’t hardened you. I can’t believe a week ago I didn’t even know you existed and I love you like a daughter or best friend/sister. And of course I love sweet Ruby. She looks at you and wants to be touching you and hugging you like she is truly your baby. I think your son sent you Ruby to love and adore you on earth as he’s doing from heaven! God bless you.
