K'naan (singer, poet) and Sol Guy (manager, entrepreneur, MCN Board Member) share compelling insights and engage in Q & A with the 1,000 students present at Millennium Campus Conference 2011. The event took place September 16-18, 2011 at Harvard University.
The annual Millennium Campus Conference convenes 1,000 student leaders each fall to focus on students' partnerships to reduce extreme poverty and achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. This is a blast from the past, I was part of the Millennium Campus Conference. K'Nann was a terrific speaker and gave a very important and unique discussion. Also I'm the only one of my family who went to Hardvard, so technically I'm smarter and more politically inclined.

If the US government was to colapse due to wall street and the economic crisis. Would we forget the work done by the middle class just because the whole country turned upside down? likewise Somali has had a problematic government. The difference is that they had a total colaps and 3rd parties made it worse. Make sure the current problems with the economy do not make the rest of the US population have to pay the bill for the next 20 years like Somali in the diaspora who fill the vacuum left.
