Delicious Pineapple They held a record, and that wasn't even everyone in the fandom. (TBH Asian fandoms are very um...let's just say they're a little more intense and uh, dedicated. Especially Japanese fans, which TVXQ had to even make another specific name for them; Bigeast.) But I don't think we can really tell who is the most popular in the Western world either, among 1D, Lady Gaga, Demi, JB, etc.... it's just that TVXQ was in the industry, especially an industry like kpop, (and then later ventured into Japan, 2nd biggest music industry in the world) since 2003 (b4 the ones you named) and have maintained a steady fanbase since then. But I'm not trying to disprove you bc they all have big fanbases, it's just a fact that TVXQ is among top. (bc there's ot2s, fans of current TVXQ + ot5s, fans of DB5K) So yeah, those artists have huge fanbases too, but so does TVXQ. (Fandom in Asia is no joke -- and influence has even reached here in America, i'm an American fan ^_^)

Delicious Pineapple oh no, i don't hate you for your opinion, i still think to this day TVXQ Red Ocean is amazing and the biggest, but you can think something else, it's fine, i just have pride bc it's my fandom. I'm an i-fan too, not Korean. I'm even younger than you too haha, and I only entered kpop a little more than a year ago. (I'm just quick to catch up on things) The difference between their fandom and others were that the fanclub members paid, so yeah, but it's ok, just my opinion. :)

Holy Super Junior, that wave was insane, I've never seen that happen in an ocean and it was super cool to see. Goose bumps all over my arms. Proud ELF right here. TVXQ's ocean is gorgeous though, I've always loved how dedicated their fans are, the older groups have really dedicated fans.
