This time it's none other than Marcel "K1llsen" Paul. With frags exclusively from top level online and LAN tournaments, culminating in his greatest win at IEM Gamescom 2010 in his home country of Germany, this fragmovie is a tribute to an amazing career that's still going strong to this day. So grab a drink, sit back and enjoy this almost 20 minute long highlight reel starring the railgun master himself.

That's how it looked back in the good old Q3 days. The movie editing had to be spot on to get views. Aninhilation / CPMA by Mess / and many others are still lit.

It's almost impossible for someone who hasn't at least tried to extensively play the game to fathom what is happening, the curve is as steep as they come. Most people will still have no idea about the skill involved even after watching movies like this.

indeed. And most people are just stunned by the aiming and think thats what it is all about...but quake has SO much more layers on it, if you play it extensively. Like timing, movement, mental strength, prediction, tactics based on opponent, Psychology etc...oh and i forgot about a reaction time close to milli-secs

_Quake Champions_ is a great game. All of the _Quake_ games are great games. ...but _Quake 3 Arena_ and _Quake Live_ are my favorite games of all time. I'll probably be playing them both 40 years from now if I'm not dead. 🙃

Such an amazing video. The editing, the pacing, the switches between demos and cam/stream was spot on. Oh, and the way you presented the stream on the monitors on the different maps was such a great idea and phenomenally executed. Good job.

This deserves much more attention! This is sooo much work in editing! I also created a few fragmovies. But this is perfekt! You combined my fav game and music and synced picture and music - by far the best fragmovie I have ever seen! Great edit, great player and great music!

You would have to crawl through at least 15 years of demos to make a proper movie. Tox goes back to 2001 IIRC, I think clanbase eurocup 7 in Amsterdam was the first time I took notice of him. He looked like a 12 year old and was way out of shape, but his rail was as sick as it gets xD

quake 3 / Live was popular and had big prizes from 1999 till about 2008-2012, halo sadly killed arena fps games.

@@GloomGenetics Halo didn't kill anything. Call of Duty and team based FPS games killed Quake and the arena FPS genre. It's easier to blame your team for losing than blaming yourself for losing.

На QChampion я уже не нашёл времени. А все остальное, шутерное, не игры. Ку3 - вот где суровая реальность. Никаких донатов, дурацких скинов. Picmip 5 и вперед. Шахматы шутерные. Ah nvm, the original tolstyitrol movie is still there. Evil Quake: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d8liZNil2N29Z5c.html But this one was made in 2013, and Evil improved a lot toward 2015 and 2016, so definitely doesn't show his full skill as you say.

@@blanglos Then maybe you use the wrong character in that map and you are at a big disadvantage, QL or Q3, the character is only an aesthetic choice, an advantage or a disadvantage does not depend on the character.

Hey editor here. It's a combination of Vegas Pro for editing, After Effects for graphics/effects/everything post and Studio One for sound design and mixing/mastering. The config I've had for many many years, iirc it might've been the Wolf Whisperer default cfg which was a kind of ui addon for Wolfcam. I'm not even sure if that project is supported anymore but google might help you there. Also keep in mind a fair bit of the look is achieved in post with color grading and so on. The raw wolfcam capture looks a lot more flat. As for the particle effects, I started out with entik's fx scripts which he graciously included in the original download for The Contenders 2 back in the day and then it's been years and years of customization and iterations until I landed on something I was happy with. Hope that answered some of your questions :)

@@maximmarkelov7929 The weapon effects are achieved with so called ".fx" scripts in wolfcam. If you google how to set up q3mme scripts you'll probably find a guide or two. You can change the billboards by replacing the textures in the wolfcam directory (unless you mean the sequence from 4:59 - 6:03 which is all done in after effects and not in game. The impressive medal (and all the others) are also after effects animations added in post and not in wolfcam. I hope this answered some of your questions.

usually i watch videos in 1,5x-2x. but this one was pretty good so i slowed down to regular 1x. plus it's Quake Live, and this moba nonsense called QC. here's like + comment to help with those algorithms.
